Jennifer Lawrence: "It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation."

"Just because I?m a public figure, just because I?m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this.

It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It?s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can?t believe that we even live in that kind of world?

I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he?s going to look at you"

"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It?s disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change."

She's right.

MrTrollkien 10-07-2014 08:49 AM

Yes, Jennie dear. We ALL know how negatively affected a young starlet's career can be by her body being exposed. And we all know how excruciating it can be for a pretty young Hollywood actress to be looked at in a sexual way. It's all just so, so tragic. What ever happened to the days when a nice girl could safely store large numbers of nude photographs of herself in a public place?

seeandsee 10-07-2014 08:53 AM

i agree, you need to get more nude jenny

420 10-07-2014 08:58 AM

She gave my eyes consent to fuck her.

CaptainHowdy 10-07-2014 09:01 AM

She should be nude in all her public appearances after those pictures surfaced...

BlackCrayon 10-07-2014 09:07 AM

she is right but anyone online who thinks they have the right to total privacy is either naive, stupid or fooling themselves.

where is she and all the outrage when young girls are killing themselves over private pictures that end up getting passed around? oh but the celebs...the poor celebs..

MrTrollkien 10-07-2014 09:10 AM

And now, after so long time after this pictures leaked... hackers are not caught and thefappening sites are growing, just type on the google thefappening and see the results.

My first reaction to it being called a "sex crime" made me feel sorry for all of the women that have been raped. Having private photos published for the world sucks, no doubt at all about that, but putting it in the same crime class as rape seems like a very, very strong stretch. Similar to those guys that get tagged as a sex criminal for taking a leak in public.

MrBottomTooth 10-07-2014 09:15 AM

Apparently there's some pics of Winona Ryder now too. Gonna have to take a look at those.

Joshua G 10-07-2014 09:19 AM

although i agree on the merit of her points, it is also the responsibility of naked woman to have an adequate handle on her information security, in particular when your image makes millions. its no secret icloud was leaking before the fappening. this is not to say she is ultimately responsible; the hacker & icloud take 1st & 2nd place. but she does take 3rd place for not fully understanding the risk of the tech she was using.

:2 cents:

blackmonsters 10-07-2014 09:20 AM

Doesn't matter if the internet is not "private"; hacking a password is a criminal offense.
Nobody has a model release or verification of age either.

Well if it's her she's got awesome tits. But there's only 3 pics and you can barely even see her face in the one pic that shows it. Could be anyone really.

Now for the nick hogan pics. :(

CDSmith 10-07-2014 09:24 AM

The political correctness crowd out there (Entertainment tonight idiots, talk show crowd, etc) all shout about not blaming the victim. Yet there are plenty of other circumstances in life where you the victim are absolutely held at least partially responsible for what happens to you.

Case in point:

Leave your car unlocked in a downtown parking lot (or even in your own driveway depending on where you live), and if it gets stolen you can bet your ass both the cops and your insurance company ARE going to ask you if you had it locked. They'll also ask if you had any anti-theft device in place and activated. If your answer is no to those questions they are for sure going to hold you responsible in some way, you might even have your claim tossed under the wrong circumstances. YOU the victim hold some blame there if you were dumb enough to leave your car unprotected.

House break-in and theft? Same thing. Did you do all you could to protect your property? If not just see what your insurance co. has to say about YOUR part of the blame. Left your front door open did you? Windows not locked? Alarm not set? It won't be entirely your fault but you may very well have to suffer a penalty on your claim.

I'm not sure why these celebs think they're entitled to any different treatment here. Tons of people are telling them "Hey, don't want your private nudie shit made public? Then don't take them in the first place, or at least delete them after you send them to that 'special someone' in your life whom you trust implicitly not to out them" ...and they're right.

Jennifer's not wrong exactly either though. In an ideal world that's how it should work. But this isn't an ideal world. Anyone who is actually living in it and has been paying attention should know that.

Welcome to the real world Jen.

Wow, you sure reached deep for that one. :helpme

Rape is not the only sexual crime; there are a lot more. :1orglaugh

Would it be a "sex crime" if the photos are underage?

I'm not saying I condone what happened, but I also do not believe it was a sex crime. And it's not going to destroy her life.

Ask 10 people what a sex crime is, see with their first response is.

Perception is far more powerful than a technicality.

Actually, a lot of comments on FB are about this being a cyber security crime, not a sex crime. Of course, the female posters immediately attacked the men as "rape apologists," but thinking logically, it is a security crime.

Famemonster 10-07-2014 09:47 AM

a sex crime not, a cyber security crime maybe. That was a bit over the top IMO.

wehateporn 10-07-2014 09:50 AM

Pretty sure this whole fappening is just part of the lobbying for Internet censorship i.e. VICTIMS > SHAMING > CENSORSHIP DEMANDS, rinse and repeat

JA$ON 10-07-2014 09:58 AM

This is why I tell my kids..... Don't EVER take a pic / video that you are not ok with the world seeing. Sux for her, but there will always be someone out there happy to steal shit and get the ball rolling.

Notice that the celebs who just ignored the issue aren't really talked about? Make a big stink and it lingers. Just roll with it and it goes away. Not saying that I support the hacking, but the fact is, she's not going to get all the pics removed. She's also not going to be the last celeb who's shit is hacked. It is what it is.

I've said it before, but Becca Tobin handled this the best of any celeb:

Stop tripping homie.

You talked about breaking into homes and stealing cars as if the criminals are going to be let go because the keys were in the door.

Maybe you should watch some "bait car" videos :
