I don't get why these people that are being held captive knowing they are about to beheaded do what isis tells them to do. Start talking about how its so and so governments fault. I would spit in their face and tell them to get it over and done with. Its going to happen regardless. Fuck doing what they tell them to say.

The captors do a lot of dry runs as a form of torture. They never know when they will actually be killed, but they do know they will be severely beaten if they say the wrong thing. Many people wish for death if they get beaten badly enough. They have endless days of fear, pain, hunger and thirst, and only hatred from their captors. They question every choice they ever made that led them to this place, and begin to wonder if perhaps it is their fault.

Or they could decide that since you spit in their face they wont behead you quickly, but torture you for years and years.
