How are websites getting 1,000+ views a day??
 

We are just getting our feet wet, our website has not fully launched yet. Trying to figure out how some sites are getting so much traffic? Is it something they are paying for and if so, exactly what are they paying for? (banners I'm assuming?)

Newbie looking for some tips from the pros. ;)

Build TGPS, use trade expert 3 and smart thumbs, build galleries and use your H tags

Do this and you will make money

backlinks, blogpost, social media and etc..

Forget all the BS and just build a website people will bookmark and come back to over and over.

What do you suggest to get them to come there in the first place?

Make site interesting to surfers they will love it, google will love it and money will love you

First, make sure you have the site spider bot friendly so you can get some free traffic from the SEs. If you manage to get on page 1 for good terms you will see traffic in the range you are talking about. If you manage to get above the fold (position 5 or higher) you will see a higher traffic flow.

then as DBS said above, get them to bookmark the site so they keep coming back.

look bro if its traffic you want and don't care about the quality then Reddit is the spot! if you need quality then build up good SEO and target low competition keywords with traffic 10,000 and below! Make sure the site looks good and test your site speed to make sure its good...with those steps alone you will start to rank for something if you are putting out good product!

I treat this website game like the drug game...Good quality will keep em coming back and If you take care of them real good they will bring you new customers (via Twitter,Facebook,Word of Mouth)

People talk about social media but my experience shows that places like reddit are only good to inflate statistics since they do not convert well. I rather have 500 daily quality visits than 1000+ visits that are only good to send my bounce rate to the moon.

Domain age is important for seo. These are probably larger, more established sites. It is hard to compete with them, if you are just starting out.

Don't work on too many things at the same time. Find just one thing and focus on it. Seo, Social media (following and sharing, regular updates on social sites), adding good content on a regular basis, possibly getting some high traffic links.

If you are just starting out, it takes time. Having a lot of websites is good too. You wont get there overnight.

If you want to use socialmedia you need to have something interesting and unique. Give out some freebies. Sure not easy with convert the Socialmedia Visitors to some who pay. Most of them are searchers for free porn. But if you are in, you have a self running ad and cashmachine.

You can get that with decent blog in about month without pushing too hard and outsourcing content stuff to New Delhi :-)

Everything tooks time. Setup a blog or a social media i.e. FB, Twitter is easy. But not easy to get it up and noticed.

You have to think what you can do alone and for what you use better the service from a company.

And for the main question: yes for the first start, best to pay for get some banners, links in blogs or hidden ads in socialmedia.

For me the 1000+ visits a day came from putting the work in and making people want to come back. Once you get that nice steady flow of traffic Google will begin to like your site more and will also send you more traffic.

Some people buy traffic, others grow it. It all depends if you have more time or money :P

I have special coupon codes for new customers

My one site was getting 20,000 unique a day until penguin update on October 18th now it only gets 2,000.
I never traded any links for the site or had social media links on it. Don't know what is wrong with it now. Might just move to another domain and see what happens.
