so tonite, the phoenix police decide to raid Hamburger Marys.

(its a restaurant that is gay owned & operated, and caters to a gay/lesbian crowd. 99% of the people eating & working there are gay. )

anyway... the police come storming in, saying that anyone under 21 is getting a ticket for being in a bar, and the owners are getting fined & possibly shut down for allowing minors into a bar.

ITS A FUCKING RESTAURANT!

yes it has a bar. so does every other restaurant on the planet. chilis. applebees. outback. you name it, they have a bar. so why is this place any different?

imagine sitting down & eating with your family in chilis, then being forced to leave at gunpoint because you have your 12 year old son with you. you wouldnt stand for it would u??

but being forced to leave a restaurant because youre under 21 is bullshit. if theyre gonna raid HM, then legally they have to raid every restaurant in town that has a bar & lets people under 21 come in. otherwise, its discrimination

maybe theres some weird law about this, but i dont see how it would only apply to one restaurant & not others.

They once pulled me and a few friends over at like, 2 AM because we "looked suspicious". This was their reasoning at first. Then after they had us sit on the curb for 2 hours and await 7 other cop cars come to discuss shit, their excuse was that we matched the description of someone who just robbed a store or some shit.
