Anyone a gambler?
I met a guy who is a handicapper and he claims to almost never loose. I guess the guy is a pro and that's all he does as a job, betting $10,000 or so a week. In baseball this season he says he is around 50-8, he will give me his picks for a fee so I'm wondering is it worth it? Does anyone here gamble or use someone like this? Anyone able to make money this way?

That's called a tout. Go to covers and read up. You don't need to pay for picks. Might as well flip a coin.

The best handicappers in the world run around 58% accuracy at their best. Anyone who claims to be better than that for a long run is full of shit.
The reason they are selling their picks is because that way they can get paid when you lose. |
If his strike rate is as high as he says it is and he proofs his bets to an independent source (so everything is verified), then yes it`s absolutely worth it (depends also on what he will charge you against what you are prepared to stake so to ensure that value remains).
Betting successfully is often about value and exploiting generous bookmaker pricing on a horse/a sporting event etc. We have much success also and only posted a thread about it yesterday - https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1150207 |
Go for it. Post them picks here ;)
I'll take UCLA |
I have a system for you, guaranteed 75% success rate. Make the exact opposite bet I do.

They don't build em based on winners. I toss money on lotto, sports, casino but only what I'm fine with losing on an occasional basis. I've seen guys drop their entire rent/mortgage payment and talk like it's a sure double up only to lose their ass. Like anything fun good in small doses but excess is a disease. :2 cents:

I was thinking of buying a few and just betting a few hundred to see how it is, then if they are winners, keep upping the bet. What do you guys think? |

He'd be making a fortune by betting on his own picks. Wake the fuck up. Losers in this world always try to make money on their knowledge of nothing, hoping they will meet somebody dumber than themselves, in hopes to sell them something. Run. Then read some books by real authors and gain your own knowledge before you get old. |
