a simple app? Question!
I can build websites but apps? Im working together with a company and we need a simple one:
when someone submits his/her info via an order form on the website, an alert with their contact and order info needs to be sent out immediately to the app. The wish is that it doesn't go through for example gmail, because other mails are sent as well to this and there's often a lag when you actually get the notification on your phone. So form sent with contact + order -> on android phone / iphone / ipad Instantly. Any tips? |
If I read that right you do not really need an app to pull it off.
On the server, when the order is received generate a message and email it to the phone as a text message. done. I think. . |
that's pretty damn brilliant, thanks for the suggestion.

I almost fell off the toilet laughing. Well done, guys.

You could also try prowl (ios) or notifymyandroid (android) to send messages to your phone using their APIs. Would be easier i think :)

Well, when you are in town long enough to have a cup of coffee, let me know. ok? . |
Or just use a proper push email app and wait the whole 3 seconds it takes for you to get the notification of the email...
