Final season of Boardwalk Empire tonight
 

Looking forward to the last season. They knew exactly when to cut this one off instead of milking it too long like Dexter.

What? It's already at least a season past its prime. They screwed up. Barely made it through last season.

Imo there's still storylines im interested in that need wrapped up. Its not like dexter where they just keep coming up with ridiculous plotlines to fill air time. I want to see that doctor killed, chalky get some sort of redemption, see where al capone and nucky end up, and see what happens with the cop turned mob enforcer guy. Still interesting at this point to me.

I barely made it through 2 seasons...just got bored wit it...

I thought last season was the end when Eli betrayed Nookie for the second time, or third, or fourth? I have to check on demand. Great show but i think they took this one an extra season.

Don't think this is a spoiler alert but Arnold Rothstein isn't in this season. Its set 7 years ahead of last season and the real Rothstein died during this time period. They referenced his funeral in the opening episode.

Haven't watched it. It's on HBO. Don't have HBO. So they can suck it.

I'll watch it for free when it's on Netflix.

I love this show, every season all the way to current. I wish they didn't cut it short with an eight episode final season. They should have shot 16 final episodes and gave us at least two more seasons so they didn't have to jump ahead so far to the 1930s all at once.

Actually...they have jumped forward about 7 years.

In real life, Arnold Rothstein had died before 1931. So it will be hard to murder him. lol

I love the show. But I think they kinda jumped the shark when they suddenly made Knucky a full-out gangster.

He was a much more interesting character when they stuck to who he was historically. Making him into a sudden bad-ass when he killed Jimmy was where the show sort of went down-hill to me.

I'm also thinking that they must have made the decision to make this the final season AFTER they had already finished up last season.

I can't see any other reason to have started the whole Rothstein/Mrs. Thompson stupidity if they were going to suddenly jump ahead 7 years. Especially since (as I said earlier) Rothstein is now dead.
