How about a smart watch instead of a mobile phone?
Hi!
So smartwatches are popping up daily, what about using one instead of a mobile phone? Not sure if a bluetooth hands free device is needed to actually talk, or it works in knight rider KITT calling mode :) http://www.cnet.com/products/samsung-gear-s/ Writing messages surely sucks on it, but for basic phone needs it is enough.. |
I have been following smart watches for a while now. They already came out with one smart watch casino, and people actually used them. I cant imagine people playing games on them but if that is correct then people are going to be watching, downloading, and buying porn, webcams, and subscribing to adult dating sites on watches soon.

They only work WITH a smart phone.

Where this Gear is different from others before is it's also a full-featured 3G and Wi-Fi-enabled device: it can make calls, receive calls, check messages and be connected to GPS even without a phone nearby. |
Hm DX has a lot too http://www.dx.com/s/smart+watch

Screen too small for aging eyesight.
Hell, I squint at my SG4 now as it is. |

With the horrible battery life of the current offerings I can just imagine how bad one would be that didnt require a phone to do some of the work. You'd be charging it more than you would be using it..

Whatever happened to Google Glass, I've yet to see a single person wearing a pair in nyc.
