Twelve Russian Branches Of McDonalds Closed
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/mcdona...113654355.html
It looks as though all twelve of these branches have been involved in UNCLEAN restaurants business. And their poor hygiene has resulted in the closure of ALL TWELVE branches of McDonalds. This means that people around those stores will have a hard time obtaining a Milkshake, Cheeseburger, Fries, Coke, Chicken Macnuggets, Filet-of-fish, Quarterpounder and whole RANGE OF OTHER CONSUMABLE items. Have I missed something in this report? I think ive covered everything. I always took the gurkin out from the cheeseburger, so I wont miss it at all (its just less agro). |
Does Russia have any standards for businesses? I'm just asking, but I'm assuming they cut corners.
|
Many Companies *franchises* from the USA are having "issues" in Russia right now...

Big loss there! :1orglaugh
http://i.imgur.com/WKByU.gif Russian's way of banning a US brand, more to come I guess. |

There is no chance that they are more dirty compared to McDonalds in Turkey,or Egypt....that was crazy. People with dirt under nails and dirty tables that no one is cleaning. I guess it is political decision which is not good, those restaurants are operated under franchise
|
Good, some Russians will lose weight
|
I truly enjoy how they think they are crippling the US economy by closing some US franchises in Russia. I wonder if they established whether or not these franchises are owned by Russians. That would be shear irony if they closed US business franchises owned by Russians.
I do not think these franchises in Russia are staffed by Americans so they are calling their own citizens slobs and pigs by closing for sanitary reasons. |

Anyway, I just messin around..... I don't blame Russia. They have to do things like this to fight back. US is demonizing Russia in the way it usually does to build support for an attack. Its like Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghan all over again. Of course, they would never attack Russia but they're playing a close game here. Anyway its small cakes compared to major hacking and dropping the petrodollar. |
Odd, I don't see any fucking Russian restaurant chains in the US.

No spiteful political motivation there. |
McDonalds sucks anyways.
|
My first thought was that they were American owned and were closing because Russia is invading Ukraine and pretending it's just a rogue employee. In what way is Russia closing them going to hurt anyone but local residents who now have one less fast food place?
Why would you remove the pickle from a burger? I add them back in. Dill pickle, onion and tomato make a great relish for every kind of sandwich or burger. This whole thing is confuzzling! |
more russian employees and suppliers out of work

we tend to call them pickles out here, i had to look that up. |
McDonalds sucks ass, it has for 20 years or so now, even worse the last 5 years. All the fast food franchises I can think of give less meat, more fillers, smaller portions and charge more for a burger then a pound of fresh beef at the store. Fuck'em

While they are at it they should ban Burger King and other American fast food chains. They'll be doing everyone a favor LOL...

I've known these terms since I was a kid. They're written on many of the pickle jars that people buy from grocery stores. They're not american terms, but many of the top brand pickles come from EU countries, and Russia, Poland, etc, and they are commonly used over there. If he had said "I took the vlasik out of my cheeseburger" would you have understood that? :D |
How many McDonalds outlets are there in Russia? I heard over 400, and that may be in Moscow alone, I forget. (Saw this in the news over a week ago when it was still only 4 locations closed)
So, twelve locations out of over 400? To me that doesn't indicate that the entire country of russia is populated by filthy pigs or anything. Nor does it indicate that there's a problem with the McD's corporation itself. What it does lead me to suspect is that there are about a dozen individual franchise owners over in Russia who aren't smart enough to follow the carefully laid out time-proven plan McDonald's corporation has for quality and cleanliness standards. It's the very reason why McDeath's is such a successful franchising operation --- even standards and proven business plan, and if each location follows it to the letter they invariably turn huge profits. It's been a no-brainer for what, five decades now? But apparently there are at least twelve Russians (and their management and staff) who aren't smart enough to stick to the gameplan. |

The ones they shut down such as the first McDonalds to open in Russia on Tverskaya and the most profitable EVER, were to make a political statement. Russia DOES work exactly like that. It's a fucking nation of restaurants with cats and dogs in the kitchen - and whatever McDonald's standards are, they are a million miles ahead of the average restaurant in Russia |

Idiot Proof is not Russian Proof I take it by this news. We all know they see McD's as a symbol of the West and Capitalism and they are pissed we won't let them have their way and are throwing a tantrum like a small underdeveloped child. |

To sincerely believe that right after imposing sanctions against Russia for their invasion of the Ukraine,.. that McDonalds - the largest symbol of America and the West in Russia suddenly has all these "health and safety" violations at the countries most profitable restaurant locations is a bit naive. Again, this is exactly how Russia works and this is exactly how Russian act. Vindictive and childish and transparent in their immaturity. |
It makes me think of Mayor Luzhkov who controlled everything in Moscow to the extent that he had thugs roaming he city in the center letting people what they could and couldn't put on their businesses windows, what font styles he would allow etc etc efc. IKEA couldn't agree with them about the first store in Moscow and tax rates so they opened a store hundreds of feet outside the city limits and he immediately banned IKEA from advertising in the city with all kinds of insane reasons that were comical, challenging every single ad as being "inappropriate" or "racist" or whatever and then letting people know "we don't need to explain why". It's how business is done in Russia. They are immature and vindictive like no other people on earth.,

P.S. As about McDonalds. I have never ate there in a whole my life (neither in Moscow nor in the USA). I do respect myself so I simple can not eat that garbage. On the other hand, I can't say that I've never been there. I was... every time when I wanted to pee and was looking to a nearest toilet :) P.P.S. As about the "cheap" (still expensive for you BTW) restaurant networks, so this is one of the most popular of what we have here: http://www.elki-palki.ru/moskva/menu/ - doesn't look like any of your shitty fast foods, yeah? :winkwink: |
I was wondering when colonel slanders and his PPP unit would show up in this thread.

I bet this is related to the mushrooming OSI Group scandal that has affected hundreds if not thousands of American fast food restaurants in China and Japan. Chicago based OSI Group supplies meat to several big American chains around the world. Their staff in southern China were caught on video tape dumping green (went bad last month green) meat into mcnugget blenders. OSI tried to blame Chinese staff but seems OSI staff were directly involved. |

Macdonalds got a lot of first class property here when it was insane cheap back in the beginning of 90th. Now it is extremely expensive, so Big M has been relieved from it when time came. Pretty sure smaller branches of M in malls and driveaways will be ok. Nothing special, just business.
