What to do?

I currently have 5 Tumblr accounts, totaling around 4,500 followers. Going up by 100-250/day. Looking to see if I can make a few bucks.
What would you do if you were me? I was thinking of setting up a site and driving the traffic to it but don't have the cash for a domain at the minute.
Prehaps I should promote some PPL offers or something similar?

Any tips/suggestions are more than welcome

Ben

whatever you do - you'll get banned sooner or later.. and you'll loose everything... trust me on this one ...

This. My tumblr account was banned just this week. Didn't even monetize it.

By a domain and a cheap host and move as much of the traffic as you can before its too late.

:thumbsup

Is it against tumblrs TOS or something? I thought it was allowed :(

Just flag all your adult tumblr accounts as NSFW, and you'll be safe. Tumblr allows adult content. Just don't put banners on your tumblr sites. Links to tours/PPL offers are allowed.

You can monetize via tumblr with image uploads and setting click through links to monetize your posts, but not the blog itself. Tumblr will ban you if you monetize via banners, redirects and pop ups.

They will ban you for posting links to a site. I had a 2 year old blog with over 110,000 followers and recently got banned for "spam". I didn't use affiliate links, I didn't have affiliate banners, I didn't make the images click through to a site. I only posted links to my own personal site. I had a good run though.
Luckily, I have a back up tumblr with thousands still.

i have only one tumblr blog for 2 years, like people before said: don t put banners, sneaky redirects and make sure you don t spam very often.

actually, i highly recommend you something else: make only 1-2 backlinks on the top of the main page of the blog and that s it! in the rest of the time, post content - provide value

who will be interested by your content, will also visit the main page of your blog and click on the links, if they are explicitly interested on that topic

if you didn t figured out, i m trying to convey a nice secret here:

let the tumblr traffic alone, important is that you make a nice blog full of rich content that can rank in google for the proper keywords, because there is the traffic that you want, not the shitty traffic from tumblr :thumbsup

:Oh crap

Hey Ben,

I had over 40+ sites on there and they banned them all over a certain period of time. They emailed me and told me they don't allow affiliate marketing.

Just curious, are your Tumblr sites still up?
