Anyone know how to make one of these?
 

Anyone have any ideas of the parts used? I wouldn't use steal, I think I'd use plywood. I really want to make this for my studio this week. It's amazing what people can do with the luxury of time, to think.

I can see two big rods in the video, but how to mount those to/in the wall I'm not sure. The angles of the two long rods attached to the two panels seems easy enough to figure out. I dunno

I do not think plywood is rigid enough in this case. Maybe Fiber Board.

Machined aluminum (jacketed for heating/cooling exchanger purposes) would be a light-weight alternative material.

Hardware, lots of spacers or washers, maybe a ball bearing assembly or 4, are going to be the key otherwise.

Carry your cellphone with you when you go through the door so that you can call 911 after you get caught in the moving parts.
