He held dual citizenship USA and Ukraine. He was of Ukrainian heritage and fought then died for the Ukrainian cause. You rejoicing at an American-Ukrainian volunteer's death is disgusting nationalism or just child like behavior.

Why should I, as an U S citizen, give a fuck if someone joins his "brothers" and fights and dies? He knew the risks.

The same goes for the 2 Israeli-American IDF soldiers that died in Gaza. They chose sides they fought and died.

In both instances these men have my respect as they chose sides and fought for their convictions -- right or wrong they had some brass balls.

Yes, but who brought the war to their footsteps? Nobody had to begin killing to resolve this.. Russia decided war was the answer, not the people of Ukraine fighting the Russians back

i have read about the west simply sending tanks to capture the eastern government buildings..

After watching the video, it appears the guy volunteered for the suicide squad. Then he refused to keep his former military rank and assume the rank of private - front line fodder. I wonder how he died.

On a side note, I think it's pretty noble of him to denounce his U.S. citizenship and become a Ukrainian citizen. Giving up all the comforts of home and going to fight in a foreign land because that's your heritage. Either noble or he was too old to join the U.S. military and he was some gung-ho type that just wanted to go out and destroy shit. Either way, dude had a pair, you have to give him that.

Hey, I am not taking sides in the dispute. Just mentioning that these volunteers have balls. I would say the same thing of a Russian-American that joined the rebels -- their hands are no cleaner in my book.

He fights for his cause and he is not a keyboard warrior clown.

That is the basis of courage -- right or wrong. Dying as a soldier for a cause shows courage -- fight to the death. Not some 'pansy ass keyboard warrior clown.'
