Try to sell some high commission, higher price items. There are some really affluent and dedicated pet owners out there. I remember when the automatic cat litter boxes came out. I did pretty good selling those (this is 15 years ago) to people. It was new to them and they hadn't seen them before.

You could create an amazon store with pet stuff in it. Post youtube videos of your cat using a toy and have a link to your amazon store blog. Or put ads on your youtube videos of your cats and share them on your tumblr.

I have never pushed the high commission stuff, nice idea - I still wonder if it worth pushing with mailers or direct though - Any ideas?..

I did the Amazon store thing, but to be honest it was pretty half-hearted - I will try again I think with the higher priced items and with quality vids on YT - Nice ideas - Thanks...

I would suggest something that is in the line with Tumblr TOS, or you soon "had" 12k followers.

That Amazon store is not bad idea. Or just link to some pet product. Or have some landing page for pet traffic (most in TOS).
