and i wonder why these websites are still up and even not hacked (even by evil russians)... that's weird

there are still networks of pay sites that do many, many hundreds, even reaching into the thousands of joins a day. There are plenty of people out there still paying for high quality content.

The days of low quality sites doing big numbers with ease is over.

As of this morning, so far, 18 people paid for my porn. Go figure.

Thank god many still do.

I wonder why anyone would buy comics, since you can read those free from newspapers. Although newspapers are not always free, but you can always steal some old ones from hobos.

Sure you can go to a tube site and find thousands of videos of random, nameless hot chicks fucking, but the 'mindfuck' isn't there, and that's the secret sauce and what the successful sponsors understand IMO. People become desensitized to plain fucking and the only people that will settle for the tubes are teens, netgeeks who spend hours of their time finding the good content without paying, and people who can't afford to join paysites anyway, otherwise they would.

BangBros, HazeHer, Reality Kings, TheHabibShow, they get it. They understand the 'secret sauce' - BangBus would've never been as successful if Dirty Sanchez wasn't in it and building a rapport with the audience through humor, and since he left it hasn't been as good.

You have to mindfuck your audience with a specific theme, set of storylines, and gimmicks not found anywhere else, bring in the same returning characters, add a likeable host, as well as have some sexy fucking models, yet I think most people believe all they need are the sexier models, that's why most sites fail, and the ones that are succeeding? The ones doing everything I mentioned here.

In short, that article doesn't understand people's needs. Same bullshit has gone for years about brands, etc. One people extrapolates his own needs and views to everybody else. "I don't need a car, why would anybody else?"

At the same time professional market research is a huge business.

People pay 30 bucks for access to 84 sites. I would hardly call that paying for anything.

They join a specific site for thirty bucks then get access to all the others as a Bonus. It's called 'added value' and it works really well.

It's the same thing with tap water and bottled water. There is tap water for free but I think 90% of those who can afford it prefer to buy bottled water... Just like this article there are many who do not know any numbers from business but prefer to write about it like true "professionals" ....

I have always paid for playboy tv and have subscribed to porn sites prior to being in the Internet Marking business and having access to member areas. I still buy subscriptions to interesting porn and dating sites. (Dating sites is another topic).

For free? I pay for my tap water. Although pretty much everyone around here don't prefer bottled water over tap water, even though it's big business elsewhere. Well, some might buy, but selling plain bottled water for regular use is very, very marginal.

Might also have something to do with the general attitude that buying bottled water, when good quality tap water is present, is idiotic waste of resources and money.

But you can get "bottled water" from tubes also.
