They come in bunches...

Every decade it seems like I have 2 or 3 really bad years back to back.

In the past 2 years I lost my mother, Father got cancer and had kidney removed then had to help him recover for 3 weeks, major customer closed shop after her partner died, son lost job, granddaughter has health issues, my daughter died of a seizure in her sleep. father had more cancer, best friend lost his house to a landslide, now my father fell and got hurt again (no relation to the cancer) and may require me living with him full time as his dementia is getting worse (refuses to go to assisted living and we are like oil and water).

Father being hurt means I just tuned down a huge client and a big project I am working on has to be on the back burner while the expenses of the project are eating me alive and everything else I am doing is now on hold.

Funny thing is when everything is great, it just feels normal.

I need to start catching breaks again.

life sucks at times; I had a mother-in-law that said this stuff happens in 7 year groupings; hopefully you are at the half way point now

I have had a bizarre six weeks. Thanks for putting it back into perspective.

Best of luck, rough year for you indeed.

Mine has been pretty fucked too, the past year - my daughter who has been riddled with health issues since almost the day she was born had kidney cancer this past year and lost over half a kidney - sister in law had a flesh eating thing that damn near killed her and took her 6 months to recover from - 5 drs and 100+ lbs of flesh removed to just get the mass of it off her - and then she had to go back in a couple of months later - same damn thing cropped back up - lost a few of my animals - lost a couple of jobs and have had hell finding work - son got into a bunch of trouble trying to defend a girl who ended up was setting him up and he landed his ass in jail -

This past year has been incredibly upside down for us as well but you get thru it - I don't know how we have managed to get thru it and are still battling it, but just hold your breath and ride it out - you will get by it soon - just keep your head up and keep a positive thought and don't let it all beat you up. :thumbsup

Would have been here earlier but my main pc just died.

I do have great friends (and backups) so I will survive

Friends were saying I was crazy to go swimming last month in the ocean. I had no idea that the flesh eating bacteria has hit so many people. :disgust

My sister in law got it and she never leaves her house except to go to the Dr or Grocery - she had a small boil or whatever on her inner thigh and literally within a few days it had breached that open wound and was eating her from the inside out -

I was hit by lightning and fried about $5000 worth of electronics in my office and my hands are still a wreck - but that's minimal - it popped pretty loud though, my husband thought it was a computer, but it was ME. lol

I have to laugh, if I don't, I think I'd lose it, just find the good and put the bad away - it's how I survive!
