10 Years on GFY, 13 Years Non Smoking Today

Stats from an old Quitnet account that I log into once a year:

Time Smoke-Free: 4748 days, 13 hours, 20 minutes and 28 seconds

Cigarettes NOT smoked: 166199

Lifetime Saved: 42 months, 9 days, 13 hours

Money Saved: $34,897.80

The 10 years here part is this month in general. To say that I never saw that one coming when I originally registered is an understatement. I had been working in adult roughly 6 months before I came here. I had no idea that I'd still be around.

Yeah but be honest....If you knew life on Earth would probably be ending in a few days due to an approaching asteroid I bet you would start every morning with a coffee, toasted bagel w'cream cheese, and cigarette.

Probably not, as the smell of a cigarette almost makes me sick now.

However, in that event, I would consider trying to score an eight ball. ;)

I will not congrat you because any sane person would not naturally smoke. It would be like congratulating someone for not drinking a poison.

Congrats to you!!

I put down cigarettes last October 21st and the smell of them makes me sick as hell too now, but there are days I sure would kill for one - for the most part I do ok - but stress days I find myself looking for them. Mine was more of the habit I had to break than anything - that habit was the hellish part!

Why ruin such a perfect morning with a cigarette? Bleah.

Congrats!

And extra congrats for pointing out how much money you have saved. Smokers usually do not realize how expensive it is to keep up this habit.
