It is but a lot of other sites doing same so pointless to bother with them.

It is but it's been going on for a while. I posted a topic here about it a few years ago. Best thing to do is to change any phone number or address (if a po box) they have so it's no longer relevant going forward. It's a bit harder if they have your name and city and your name isn't a common one.
