Colgate Total Ingredient Linked To Cancer

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-0...e-s-total.html

"The chemical triclosan has been linked to cancer-cell growth and disrupted development in animals. Regulators are reviewing whether it?s safe to put in soap, cutting boards and toys. Consumer companies are phasing it out. Minnesota voted in May to ban it in many products.

At the same time, millions of Americans are putting it in their mouths every day, by way of a top-selling toothpaste that uses the antibacterial chemical to head off gum disease -- Colgate-Palmolive Co.?s Total.

Total is safe, Colgate says, citing the rigorous Food and Drug Administration process that led to the toothpaste?s 1997 approval as an over-the-counter drug. A closer look at that application process, however, reveals that some of the scientific findings Colgate put forward to establish triclosan?s safety in toothpaste weren?t black and white -- and weren?t, until this year, available to the public. "

Fluor is ok in a toothpaste as long as you don't swallow it

Lots of people have died after taking Propolis, it's a potent allergen - How many have been shown to have died after using Colgate Total?..

Myrrh also causes miscarriages.....

arock10 08-11-2014 05:33 PM

Yo I heard living causes death so you should kill yourself to prevent it

Guess who bought Tom's?

"Tom's of Maine is a brandname and manufacturer of natural-ingredients-only personal care products, a partially owned subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive since 2006. The company's products are intentionally made without ingredients that are: chemically derived, have a negative environmental impact, or are tested on animals."

Arnox 08-11-2014 08:47 PM

In Australia, the #1 cancer kills 75% of people and we're exposed to the culprit EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Shock horror, it's Melanoma caused by the sun.

Everything in a reasonable quantity is damaging to you. Cabbage, toothpaste and yup, you guessed it, water.

Don't worry folks, you'll be fine brushing your teeth with Colgate. :thumbsup

CAHEK 08-11-2014 09:22 PM

Note to myself never buy Colgate :2 cents:

RummyBoy 08-11-2014 10:24 PM

I never understand how market leading companies like Colgate can do such a thing as introduce something which isn't 1000% proven and safe. Why take a risk when you already have a massive market leading position?

Sad....... Tom's of Maine - I seriously doubt i'll be able to by that in Sudan but i'll try up the road.

Paully 08-11-2014 11:21 PM

Tom's does not test on animals, how do we really know whether Tom's causes cancer cell growth or disruptive development in the animals.

One of the first things they did was discontinue their lemon lime moisturizing mouthwash, which was beloved by cancer-sufferers and people who dislike mint.

If you can find a way of not swallowing any that's not too bad, however some of the other toxic ingredients will get absorbed into the gums

wehateporn 08-12-2014 06:36 AM

Keep in mind that the sun lotion has Carcinogens in, so most of the Cancers are being caused not by the Sun but by the sunscreen; all a huge scam to increase Cancer industry profits

The biggest companies tend to be the worst, they can save a lot of money by going for chemicals rather than natural ingredients

Firstly suncreen is blocking Vitamin D, Vitamin D protects against Cancer, secondly you do not want to be rubbing these ingredients onto your skin: - oxybenzone, benzophenone, octocrylene, octyl methoxycinnamate, diisopropyl adipate, retinoic acid, and retinyl palmitate

your vit D comment is absolute rubbish and your second comment is way off, skin does NOT absorb the lotion.

to suggest what you are suggesting is one of your more irresponsible posts.

I know you well enough to know you're trolling Dyna Mo, but anyway...

"The majority of sunscreens on the market today are more harmful than beneficial. Sunscreens are designed to decrease your risk of skin cancer and allow you to enjoy the sun without worry. Unfortunately, most modern day sunscreens may increase your risk of cancer and disrupt the functioning of your hormones. "

then you don't know me at all. You might want to read the article you just linked.

A meta-analysis of 9067 patients from 11 case-control studies found no association between sunscreen use and the development of malignant melanoma (the most deadly skin cancer).

If wehateporn followed all the advice he offers then he would have died ages ago. Clearly he is a illumanati reptilian sent to misinform the public for evil gains

Or he is just an alien! Part of the outer space creatures propaganda campaign to bring down society from the inside by having them brush their teeth with sunscreen

Why ?

I thought the point you were making is about the ingredients rather than the manufacturer ?

Sorry I forgot big pharma is in league with big oil, and the illuminati or some shit. Right ?

i have at least 3 lifestyle issues that will kill me long before my toothpaste.

druid66 08-13-2014 02:13 AM

teeth can be easily cleaned with taking a sip (do not swallow - you will kill your stomach flora) and brushing peroxide water - cheapest and best solution, peroxide water kills all germs in the mouth, just watch to not swallow it, no toothpaste can come close to it's effectivenes.
