Good lesson for pet owners, that coyote came out of nowhere and would have have been gone with the little dog in just a few seconds.

time to go coyote hunting :2 cents:

They go through our neighborhood about once ever other year. a couple of years ago they took out pretty much every outdoor cat.

Last week a lady a couple of blocks away let her Collie out late at night to go to the bathroom. She went to run and use the can, a pack came and killed it.

Not often but 8-10 times a year I can be outside at night and hear the fuckers yipping.

That Coyote came out of nowhere but the Rottweiler equally was just as fast, would love to see how that chase ended. Rottweiler probably gave up, I doubt the Coyote will be back.

Out in the farms around Vancouver there are tons of coyotes. They will bark and yip and play in view of dogs to draw them out, then the pack will kill them. Sometimes they will even follow people out walking their dogs, especially at dusk along the trails. I wish they had some more fear of humans, but it looks like that time is long gone.

I know what works for the coyotes: wolves. But that has a drawback regarding the dogs.
