Anyone else like watching COPs on TV?

I hate to admit it, but I kind of like seeing how the bottom 5% of America lives.

I love the car chases most of all.

I love this kind of shit.... Routine traffic stop leads to a car chase...

Yup, me too; I've also done four different ride-alongs with the San Diego Police-----each a 12-hour shift; I've purposely asked for Friday or Saturday afternoon and into the late evenings so I could see more action happening.

I'm gonna be 75 on my next birthday, but I'm still a "kid" :-)

I would imagine that a ride-along in my hometown would be utterly boring.

The best part is when the one lady is pissed that she was called a drug dealer when in fact she is a prostitute and seemingly proud of it.

My wife can enjoy a thoughtful indie drama, or the most high-brow TV series that's on the air -- but COPS is still her go-to show for as long as I've known her. She has our DVR filled with COPS and it drives me crazy. I ask her how many shirtless hicks can you see get tackled before it becomes the same shit over and over.

My personal favorite line perps always use is "that shit ain't mine".

But in a way she's right! She gave the lady $20 and did not get the (illegal) item she was buying. So she should get her $20 back! As long as no crack changed hands, there shouldn't be a problem. :)

I watched cops a few years ago and found it entertaining but find it more relevant in my most commonly quoted movie line "Why are you so sweaty?" "I was watching cops." :winkwink:

I was just watching COPs now really.... They pulled over this car for his tail light being out, fucker didn't follow instructions well and didn't seem to be in a hurry to get out of the car and was going for something in his pocket... Turned out he had a jar full of crack - the good stuff too, and lots of it.

It's so sad seeing how some people live.

COPS is nothing more than a propaganda show for law enforcement made to draw sympathy for cops. They make themselves look perfect while making the general public look like a bunch of criminals. Never do they show cops searching cars and coming up with nothing (which in reality happens more than 50% of the time). Never do they show cops being pricks (which we all know they are). And never do they show cops eating donuts half their shift.

OMG... 2 complete idiots with 1 police stop. Fucked up.
