Never seen her before but off these photos I'd agree, doesn't look like a supermodel, maybe a lingerie model for a department store catalog/website. Thick neck, peanut head, flat broad nose.

Looks like she's more of a swimsuit model than anything. And I think something that may work to her advantage is that she could pass for a few different ethnicities. Who knows, maybe she has good editorial shoots and her "interesting" look works for her.

But she's not what many would consider classic beauty.

Actually not really. Most supermodels and models does not have good looking face, I think the requirement is "interesting face". I would not pick up most of supermodels in the bar because I genuinely would think they are not good looking, and I am NOT picky.
Some looks good, but at least half of them don't.

Body wise - if you like skeletons, they are stunning :)

I think super model also connotes celebrity status... Everything converged for her, SI shoots, marriage to John Legend, Cooking Network tv show and her own bikini line Beach Bunny which is selling well.
