Looking for an adult friendly bank

Any suggestions/experience?

Why would you want to tell them about doing adult? Just build a front for mainstream. Other than that Wells Fargo is cool with it. Just don't rub it into their face.

Ethical corporate policies or the CSR crap is probably why.

Haven't heard this before (regarding porn). Even supermarkets sell porn in here. If banks would be starting to have problem with porn, they would lose all their big clients. Besides, banks are not considered that good anyways.

I don't know what country you are from or if you follow the financial industry, but not too long ago Chase bank banned all adult related business from being clients of theirs.

But plenty do, just don't shove it in their face. My bank knows all about what my companies does and does not give a shit as long as they get paid.

aka123: I wonder the same, but I am not running a bank. It turns many banks DO care...

faxxaff: This is a possible solution, but it created issues in the past - and I just want to avoid headaches if they are not necessary. It turns out some banks can get pretty nosy, and I don't see a reason why I should hide stuff and then hope they "don't find out".

I follow financial industry, as I own stocks (and for other reasons too), but adult related banking is not much of a topic in that context.

Just tell them and if they reject, go to another bank.

my accountant says it's not easy to find banks that like adult. hence this post.

mind you, we are not doing anything extreme or borderline at all, also no ex-gf or whatever. (just plain mainstream adult with all the papers in very good shape etc.)

but i really don't want to 'hide' stuff and risk the bank causing me headaches later.

Get a better accountant , I am not meaning this as a bad way to you....

He should have told you the advice given above or at least found you a "alternative" .....

Its very easy to open account at any bank you just gotta have the know how...

If you need more details lmk or list the places that have rejected you

There are not that much big porn clients (left)... and porn is peanuts compared to mainstream bizz and selling customers products anyway(ehhh correct: customer scams) They don't give two fucks about our money... accounts are closed without hestitation.

But the real question is still why (don't answer)? If your business is legal, you have no problem around here whatever your business is. Although our president doesn't end speeches with "God bless..", and there really isn't taboos and so on.

There is one good joke (cartoon) depicting our relation to religion:

It's WWII.
Priest says to soldier "Bible says don't kill."
Soldier responds: "Infantry manual says "Kill as much as you can.""
The next image is about the priest shooting with machine gun and the priest says: "Well, if we reduce just the stealing and adultery for starters."

:)

Google "Operation ChokePoint"

There is a bill in congress set to try and stop it or change what the Justice dept has been doing. Maybe it has already passed. I'm not keeping up.

If you can, consider a credit union. bank or credit unions do not want drama. Don't name your company I sell cunt LLC and don't do anything shady. You will be ok I believe.

If your nickname is Mr. Wire Transfer or you do EFT from all kinds of funky sources, I could see an issue.

pornlaw 08-06-2014 07:04 AM

Operation Chokepoint is the new war on porn. If the US govt can prosecute it out of existence they will simply put pressure on banks to close accounts and then shut off third party processing.

I imagine this will only strengthen Bit Coins. They aren't only targeting adult. There are 30+ industries on their "hit list."

Good luck in finding a bank. Account closures have affected a lot of my clients large & small.

aka123 08-06-2014 07:15 AM

It seems that you might want to have bank outside US. How about Canada?

bxy 08-06-2014 10:19 AM

It's bigger than "Operation ChokePoint". We are suffering a replay of the great depression.
1) People were making too much money building horseless carriages. (today the computer market)
2) Bank loaned money at low rates, then called the loans in.
3) Small banks crashed, people lost their homes, businesses, etc.
4) Bigger businesses went bankrupt, with even larger businesses buying them up for less than pennies on the dollar.
5) Then target the businesses that can create wealth quickly with laws / rules to kill that wealth. Drugs / Alcohol / Sex

It is all about gathering wealth to a select few, another attempt at becoming kings of the world.

If you truly want to fight back, find ways to make money less important in your life. Quit using credit, n eliminate utilities. Anything you can do to get off from under the thumb of a monopoly puts power back into we the people, instead of we the few.

In our current industry embrace competitive money.

^^^^ This. Exactly. I use WF but don't "blah, blah, blah" about adult.

You should use Bitcoin. The blockchain does not discriminate against any goods or services, and your funds cannot be seized or frozen.
