picked up a new hot rod yesterday...
 

leased a 2015 GMC Yukon... pretty nice, lots of bells and whistles... heated/ac leather seats, the voice activated nav/ent system pulls my phone contacts for hands free calling... room for Killer, lots of USB, + card slot and even 120 ac power... etc... and very comfortable...

What does it cost to lease something like that over there?

have no idea about your first response... makes no sense to me ... several factors on a lease... miles per year, amount of months, down payment etc....

oh yeah... I got this because the other SUV I had seemed a bit small to me... especially the front seats...beat me up on a 400 mile trip the other day... so I traded the 2012 GMC Acadia over for the 2015 Yukon.. lease was just about up anyway and the Yukon is much roomier... and has the more modern electronics... I couldn't afford the 'denali' those are 75k+ so I just got the SLT... it's very nice, rides really smooth... MPG sucks though but you can't have everything I guess..

Congrats on the new toy! I had a Tahoe, moved to a Silverado and am now thinking of going to a Yukon XL or Suburban. I love my truck but it rides like a son of a bitch. Need something more comfortable for those 300 mile treks to the north woods.

Leasing is a very smart idea especially if you like to always drive new cars or plan to replace the car after a few years. You finance roughly half of the cars value instead of the full amount, and then trade it in or give it back when the lease is up.

If you're careful and are a good at selling, you can sell your car for more than the residual buyback value, so you walk away with cash at the end of the lease, or, use that cash as a deposit on the next car.

I used to be into sports cars and I never understood why people owned trucks.

I have a Jeep Cherokee now and I love it... It's everything I need. It's a big big for me alone but it gets me from point a to point b, carries my entire family plus, can haul my bikes, and it can go anywhere which has come in handy camping and at the local lake.
