When I was a kid...

...I had a feeling, my hands felt like 2 balloons.

You came only thru in waves,
Your lips moved but i can't hear what you're sayin'

fallen-ness comes about when Dasein cannot bear the possibility of the Nothing.

This is not how I am
I have become comfortably numb

I really need to get me that The Wall DVD and some weed and just watch that shit for old time's sake

Fletch XXX 03-10-2003 09:57 PM

i have the DVD, and both versions of The Wall on cd.

next to The Beatles' White Album, The Wall is one of the greatest audio accomplishments of mankind.

Fletch...

You're absolutely right...I'm actually listening to The Wall now...weird...

I think you dudes just triggered a flashback :)

Fletch XXX 03-10-2003 10:02 PM

whenever i lose faith in myself i always put my faith in music.

im constantly amazed at how connected the mind is to music.

Dildozer 03-10-2003 10:03 PM

Pink Floyd is the kinda music i listen to when i'm depressed, and everything feels so much better

quiet 03-10-2003 10:15 PM

i find music to parallel mathematics, in the sense that both work so amazingly well to connect 'other' to mind.

sweetums 03-10-2003 10:16 PM

Connection between mind and music...so many links to both sides of the brain. Music often expresses the thoughts and feelings we can't find words for...or at least it does for me.

Floyd most often de-stresses me...just puts me into this calm, relaxed zone...

sweetums 03-10-2003 10:20 PM

quiet...

That's what music theory is....math :) Or numerically based...the way chords are built and beat is calculated...I always sucked at music theory :)

never heard of it. btw, thanks much for all that stuff the other night :)

Fletch XXX 03-10-2003 10:22 PM

as a synthesizer wave enthusiast music is nothing more than waveforms and the silence between notes.

life revolves around this.
