Those aren't even six steps to boost SEO. They're explicitly the six ostensible stages the "SEO experts at AdultAgencyAds.com" take when you pay them for services...

Great repackaging of what we used to call FULL PAGE ADS! :thumbsup

Best SEO for us is creating niche blogs, little traffic here and little there and it all ads up.

Agora, I can't stop wondering. In your step 3 you say about SEM and links in articles and press releases...
But you also say that you use whitehat techniques? At the end of July, Google updated the Link Schemes section of its Webmaster Guidelines. The new addition states that “links in articles or press releases distributed on other sites” are an example of unnatural links that are in violation of Google’s guidelines. http://www.bruceclay.com/blog/press-...eo-link-value/ |
SpyCam, that's only if they're not nofollowed. They consider it to be the same as a paid advertisement. There's nothing wrong with purchasing advertisements of any kind that point to your website, obviously.
(I own a press release distribution company.) Also, since this is obviously coming next, nofollow links do help your website. Check out the newest Searchmetrics report... I can't post the link, but Google "Searchmetrics ranking factors 2014" |
there is only one step: listen to what google says and do exactly as it says.

Sorry but even if the content of the site is valuable I can not stay any longer there because of these ads. |
Actually Agora, your steps are right, but these are little outdated nowadays. Especially article and press release links.
|
It starts with good quality content and good keyword research. If your content is informative then it will get liked shared and tweeted giving your site somewhat of a viral effect thus ranking you up the search engines.

It's possible to rank without backlinks (sorta)...it's all about proper site structure, content and engagement with influencers in communities and/or social media. Getting them "naturally" is what Google and other search engines really want so the easier to do that the better. princecharming has the right idea.

the largest heading on googles about page is how we ranked #1 post-penguin for
seo {city} city {seo} web design {city} {city} web design all variants of all keywords we wanted in one of the most recognizable cities in the world if not the most recognizable city in the united states, and we stayed pegged to the #1, not #2 spot for years. funny thing is we didnt actually focus on the user, but google thought we did because of the information we were manipulating the way we were. my primary takeaway was this: do conversion optimization and excellent customer service to rank #1 for the big keywords. fire your SEO person if they only know the shit you can find on wickedfire, blackhatworld, warriorforum, this site, any seo publication |
conversion optimization is the only non-bullshit way to really improve your website - and google knows this - because you're using the scientific method to provide the best user experience to the largest possible audience with never-ending iterations and improvements dictated by a margin of error of 5% or less.
outside of that, google can tell when someones saying "whatever.com ripped me off" or "whatever.com kicks fucking ass" and it helps when somebody sees your advertisement in a doctors office magazine, and pops on a forum to say "has anyone used this service or product" to which people that converted - buyers - respond "yes, and they {sucked|kicked} ass" 90% of you should dump your SEO's and developers, but learn how to hire them correctly before you do that. |
