Alternative to mobile redirects?

Since google is going bananas if you redirect mobile traffic offsite,is there any valid alternative in terms of revenue ?

Markul 08-02-2014 02:36 AM

Build responsive sites. Use mobile pop-unders.

Yea not a lot has it besides PlugRush and ExoClick. So I would test both of them and see what performs best.

Exoclick is a joke, sent traffic for 3 days there and it wasn't counted at all.

That does not sound right, we use it on a tube site and their numbers seems to be on the money. But then again, it's not their mobile pop-unders that we use.

It's amazing that not more advertisers are on the ball with getting mobile pops implemented. Just checked 4 others and they only have desktop pops :Oh crap

Markul 08-02-2014 03:57 AM

I guess at this point, the best thing to do was write your own mobile pop-under that pops a mobile whitelabel from SGM. I haven't tried that, but I think it's time I do.

Hmm there was a thread how SGM does not convert anymore.I do have popunder code which bypass firefox block and adblock, but it is onclick, not onload.

Maybe you have people who orders directly from your site so you get good numbers.Majority of people loses money there, for example some people even sell their tube sites because they cant cover bandwidth costs. So in shortly it work for some but not for all.

They do convert, but not like they did 3-4 years ago. Since I am not redirecting any mobile traffic and haven't been for a while now, this is really just old rebills and the odd visitor that somehow finds it's way to my whitelabels.

So it's not like it's a goldmine or anything. But it's worth a shot. Btw do you mind sharing that pop-under code you have? You can send it in a PM if you don't want it in here :)

I love "donated" code for research :)

share a copy

Collin1v 08-02-2014 05:10 AM

Do you have decrease in your mobile traffic /banned sites from Google/ since yesterday, because I have drop in one of my sites?

I am in middle of "system reconstruction". Getting sites re-indexed,not a problem, problem is finding a valid revenue alternative. For example, got wordpress blog reindexed, added juicyads popunder, earned might 1 cent compared to 1.5 dollar previously with mobile redirect, also juicyads.

That's cool, PM'ed you my e-mail :)

Hmm according to plugrush support mobile redirect and popunder prices are not same,I checked in plugrush itself and indeed there is difference. Here is example for spanish traffic:
Popunder
$0.00010
0.00015
Redirect
$0.00383
0.00575
I even typed for test 1000 mob pop,and 1000 mob redirects, price for redirect 6$,price for mobile pop 15 cents, and that is advertiser price, meaning publisher get even less.
And like this google crap is not enough, publishers prices dropped. It seems those two always goes in pair, google updates and mobile redirect traffic prices lol.

Yes but considering plugrush prices, doubt they have it much higher.

fuzebox 08-02-2014 11:58 AM

It is 2014 and 50+% of your traffic doesn't use a desktop PC. Why the fuck are you redirecting?

twitmytwat 08-02-2014 03:36 PM

if you guys are interested in bypassing big bad Google and earning money off redirects we found a way. Add me on Skype and I'll show you what we're working with at Coolmobile.

For those using full mobile sites we got a full list of creatives like banners, pop ups, pop unders, interstitials (almost as good as a redirect), IM style slide up footers. If you can GEO split I definitely suggest sending us your spain traffic, we got a promo this month on it that can earn you an extra 500 Euros.

I use FPC traffic the same pop on desktop and mobile. It works great a little agressive but you can adjust it and great support.

These one will bring you lots of $$ everyday.

Lol,fpctraffic was never bringing a lot of dollars,it was always more like a "beer money".Tho they are not bad when it come to desktop popunders,as they are only broker at the moment which support putting your own code.Anyway,i already concluded how mobile popunder are not match to redirect regardless which broker. And there is also trafficshop which does mobile/skim mobile as well.

even more amazing if you take into account that they're basically printing money with a minimum of 400%-500% profit on every banner click
