Camgirl Widget
 

So we made a widget for camgirls and I'd like your opinions on it (both from webmasters and camgirls).

Basically what it does is provide camgirls with a tool that allows them to easily promote themselves and make extra tip money in the process. It combines a camgirl's website, cam site, social media, wishlist, and more into one place so they can embed the widget on any website or forum. For example this widget would be useful in forum signatures where models post frequently so fans can find out more info about them and even tip them any amount up to $1K.

I think its cool but way too confusing for the average cam girl. I've seen some of the best cam girls confused on how to setup an amazon wishlist.

I'd imagine it has to be easier than learning HTML or forum BB code. At least that's the point of it.

I think its a good idea - just focus on making it as easy as possible.

I'm not seeing the social media stuff - all I get is a form to enter a tip amount and a PAY submit button.

When you make something for a model, you really have to put yourself in their shoes. :2 cents:

Even figuring out how to make a post on the board is too much for some of them. :upsidedow

When you click the link the banner that's all you get but there's options for models to add links to her social media as well. You can see the twitter link on the widget example I posted :thumbsup

some of ya'll don't give cam chicas nearly enough credit. Most of the serious cammers I know are pretty techy, to thrive in this job you kinda have to be.

I like the widget and I seriously doubt it would be beyond the skills of the average chica who'd be interested in using it. To address privacy concerns I'd get rid of the facebook element though. most cam chicas I know avoid fb like the plague

a question: the site references a 75% payout for early adopters, what will that be reduced to for new sign-ups after that promotion has ended?

Did I miss where you told them how much they get from it ? % ? For some reason most girls seem to kind of frown on under 70% . I do feel a bit of jealousy from a few of these post though . I doubt to many of these big talkers that know what cam girls can't figure out are pulling in 6 figures a year .:thumbsup

I opened this thread as a camgirl who was interested, and it is indeed confusing.
Some of these Q's are answered in a bit of depth on your 'how does it work' thing, but should be in the video. It's what peeps will watch.

Some questions I have after watching the video:

How do we make this 'tip' money? People click the button, select an amount to pay us it seems. So,

1. What does the customer see? I don't want to enter private /persona,l info to check. Is there a demo?
2. Is it modifiable / skinnable with html/css?
3. How secure is it?
4. How do we know our clients details are safe, and that we will get paid?
   
   I assume the above questions are answered by it all being done ccbill (which is what it looks like, in which case)
   
   
5. Is every apart of the $$ stage handled by ccbill?
6. Are we paid via CCBill affiliate accounts?
7. Direct for those of us that have CCBill merchant accounts?
8. What % are you taking, if any?
9. What % are CCBill or any other party taking, if any?
   
10. Will you use our information that we enter into the form for anything? Advertising, info for 3rd parties we haven't specified, keeping tabs on us in any way?
11. Are details stored on your site/db/whatever after we've finished creating the widget? Once we delete it from our own sites etc, will it be gone, or hosted by your site?

Some suggestions I have after watching the video:

1. Info about everything above.
2. Liaise with camgirls. This is a product we want and if it's free to use information should be hella easy for you to gather. I could make a post for you on the ambercutie models only section for example, or you could ask some girls on twitter. It's in our best interest for this to work :D
3. The voice over is bad, and sounds like it's talking down to us. It goes over the basic idea but never gets into detail which makes the info video a bit redundant.
4. I think a woman voice would be infinitely better and sound more trustworthy.
5. The video includes the same pics over and over, Perhaps show shots of the widget and what it looks like, what the customer will see when using it, examples of how it can be modified to fit nicely into girls profiles.

Some girls are techy, some aren't. There's be lots of girls happy to buy a widget like this (I see it discussed on camgirl only forums), but I'm not sure they'd pay %.

And yes, each social media section should be able to be turned off. Amazon is also a problem, closing peoples accounts for association to adult.

I agree the % is on the low end, particularly when the widget doesn't offer anything other than a different way to link to payment options. Percentages are rising for chicas who have their own traffic and I doubt 75% will be all that attractive to most chicas seeking processing options. I do like the widget but there are quite a few quality options that offer a far better payout
