A couple times surfing in San Clemente. I've shared waves with a few dolphins, they shoot right in middle of the wave. Pretty cool :)

Dolphins mean no sharks, why did they want them gone?

Its not certain who causes what in that phenomena, could also be sharks = no dolphins. In any case, the presence of dolphins could cause accidents with surfers.

Thats not true at all for one, for another almost as many people are injured by dolphins every year as by sharks.

_Richard_ 07-29-2014 12:30 PM

i have found 3 people injured by the same dolphin in the same area (over a 10 year period).. the only reference to a death was an american swimming with a gigantic pod of dolphins in NZ, and it's thought this was caused by 'rough housing', in answer to ignorance on the humans part, fingernails, clothing, jewelry

sarettah 07-29-2014 12:34 PM

In Hatteras I surfed with the dolphins pretty often. They were there at sun up and sun down like clockwork.

It was always very surreal to be sharing a wave.

:thumbsup

It is true, dolphins are extremely aggressive towards sharks.

Rochard 07-29-2014 01:02 PM

I'd hit it, but.... I'd hit anything.

MiamiBoyz 07-29-2014 01:37 PM

Dolphins are rapists of the sea.

CourtneyR 07-29-2014 01:51 PM

We see them frequently over in Aptos.

dont scuba dive do you? the only time i have seen a dolphin act aggressively towards a shark is when she has a baby, she will also act aggressively towards you then.

Dolphin routinely kill each others babies as well

and big sharks like great whites and tiger sharks will attack and kill dolphin

I have actually petted them in the cape,....unfucking real moment! I love Hatteras, and KittyHawk, my favorite summer hideout.:thumbsup And yes, they are active in those areas, and make me feel safe when they surround...

Don't live on the beach do you?

Dolphins swim in pods and attack sharks because they know sharks find them tasty. Do some reading on the subject, it is really interesting.

Every single being is protective of their young...

Asparaguss 07-30-2014 01:05 AM

Cool pics but weird they are using a helicopter to get them away.

Paully 07-30-2014 01:07 AM

Dolphins will drag you down and rape you and they dont care about rape whistles, except one that go eee eeeeee. True story.

Jel 07-30-2014 01:31 AM

I assumed it was so they didn't get beached
