Need some advices from pro bikers
 

I'm about to buy some semi-pro bike to ride ~30km/day a few times per week. Mostly city (not flat place, ups&downs), sometimes cross-country.
Please suggest some good one and necessary equipment.
Bike in $1500-2000 range

for me off-road bikes are best,

For the city it is bets to have a "street bike" (or do they call them some other name as it does not sound like a popular definition when googling).

We call those urban bikes here.
