Any xbox 1 owners
anyone here own both the xbox 1 and 360?
my question is, can you play downloaded XB360 games on the XB1? also is it worth upgrading from the 360 to the one..is the video better? |
There's no backwards compatibility right now. Of course the graphics are slightly better but nothing has been very impressive so far. Basically like 360 games with a few more graphical effects thrown in and running at a higher resolution. The ps4 is the superior machine for multiplatform games this gen, as it has been consistently able to run the same games at higher resolutions, such as 1080p vs 900p on the xbone.
|
Lack of next gen only games have made it pretty underwhelming so far. Took a hack destiny open beta but not too amazing compared to war frame (ps4) so far
|
I have an XBox360 and plan to replace it with an Xbox One as soon as GTA5 for XB1 is released sometime this September. As far as I know the XBox One machines do NOT play xbox360 games, but I heard there are hacks or work-arounds to do this.

the xbox one has inferior hardware, can't run games at 1080p and is more expensive than the ps4... plus you're forced to buy the kinect even if you'll never use it, you cannot upgrade the hard drive; and every conceivable aspect of the ps4 is better than the xbox one... in fact, they should have named it xbox gone... |

A bit of misinformation in this thread.
Yes you can now buy the Xbox One without kinect if you don't want it, which also makes it same price as the PS4. Yes the Xbox One can run games @ 1080p (List) It may not live up to the PS4 on the paper but graphics is not all - not to me anyway. The games available and gameplay is. Besides all the media options Xbox has and the ability to soon using Plex. From what I have seen Microsoft have pushed more updates, and personally I have more confidence in them when it comes to software. I am also one of the minority with a WP and looking forward to Microsoft's unification of their different platforms. Planning to get both consoles myself though, but am in no hurry. Waiting for more games, maturing software and the white version of the Xbox. |
Get PS4, there will be tons of amzing games on this system.
|
I bought both on release dates. Xbox one has barely seen any use

I wouldn't buy both - there's no need for it. Most of the games come out on both and the ones that do not are really similar. I'd say both consoles are great, but I'll probably still go for Xbox One because of the media management.

I'm a long time XBOX user and I plan to move over to PS4 when they release gta v on it in november
|
i kunt a4d to steel a x box 1... :(

I have a PS3 and XBox360. This go round we went with the PS4, because it is a better machine. No debate at all. Higher resolution, better frame rates. Anything that can be played on both machines looks better on the PS4.

XBOne no longer comes with the Kinect system and the price is now equal to that of the PS4, for starters. |
I'm a HUGE xbox fan, was all over the Xbox, was and still am all over the 360..
The Xbox One... I call it the Xbox 720, because most games on it run at 720p. I have over 200 games I bought in the arcade and on demand on the 360, can't play any on Xbox One.. No point in it. PS4 is far more powerful then the Xbox One, and it has a way better selection of games. Xbox Live used to be king.. but in the past 3 years PS Plus has become far superior and still is blowing Xbox Live Gold away. I'm waiting for a really good game before I pick up a PS4, although PC truly is best. Also, Xbox had the better controller for the longest time, however, PS4's controller has been improved, spacing adjusted slighty, better sticks, and the Xbox One's controller is not as good as the 360. So disappointing in Xbox One. The WiiU can run games in 1080p.... The WiiU!, and Xbox One can't. lol |
im on xbone and play BF4...anyone wanna squad up for fun, let me know!
