Some people are just fucking assholes.

CAHEK 07-25-2014 08:42 AM

how do they know pin for the credit cards ?

seeric 07-25-2014 08:44 AM

"Sorry that we make a shoot down of your families members. Thanks for the jewelries and monies assholes."

Pretty sad that the families will not get their loved ones property back. Really disrespectful shit.

Very complicated situation. Not really sure where you start on getting justice against unsanctioned militias, supported by the Russian government.

Sad all the same.

bronco67 07-25-2014 08:52 AM

Yay for freedom fighters!!!

Would anything less be expected from a Russian?

Does your credit card have low APR of 58% and monthly fee of $30 as well?

MaDalton 07-25-2014 09:20 AM

In Europe they do. American credit cards still just got the magnetic strip and not got a chip in them yet?

they can still be used online without a pin?

what makes me curious is how did these people run cards in some bizarre area of the world without the transaction being blocked?

20% APR and there is no such a monthly fee.

Its just banks and retailers are being cheap and still use traditional credit cards instead of chip cards with PINs, or chip-and-PIN cards.

Pretty easy when you have someone's wallet, zip codes, cvv, addresses, ssn, etc. you are essentially that person on paper and verified to purchase. I am sure that in Russia you aren't asked for a photo ID when you present a card at Ivan's Guns and Ammo. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

NemesisEnforcer 07-25-2014 09:36 AM

Some of those charges after death could be recurring billing from porn pay sites.

i am thinking internet purchases, but the location is a place the people were never gonna be, or doubtfully ever were.

If i were to fly to montreal, and try and buy something with my card in person, id have to directly communicate with my creditcard company via phone to confirm this. Generally, id just alert them before hand to travelling.

if my card was to suddenly be used in eastern ukraine? id fall over it worked.

Agreed. My cards get blocked even in the USA after 3 purchases and I have to call the assholes and jump through hoops to get them to turn it back on.:mad:

They all have pin in advanced countries ...
As for rates of interest they are the standard 19% and I don`t give a shit as I pay the balances in full on all my cards .

As for the OP subject , no surprise from Ukranians, Romanians, etc ....

Pin is for card present transaction , ..... obviously .

CVV for on line, plus sometimes '' verified by Visa '' ...

You really have credit Cards or they are '' prepaid cards '' .... :1orglaugh:Oh crap

I don't think so. They asked to join them at least two times and were rejected. Putin also asked the DNR separatists to postpone with a referendum, but they told him "fuck off". Those who think that these Ukrainian separatists are controlled by Putin are real idiots :2 cents:

P.S. Putin can't control his own country, because he is incompetent asshole.

Then I guess you answered your original question. Obviously the card wasn't used at local supermarket with name of Haaans VanBrucelhoff on it.

so he could easily step up and say "we don't want those people and we don't support them" (opposed to other countries he doesn't even have to be scared to lose any elections...)

instead the 2 (russian by passport) separatist leaders are celebrated as "true russians" by (nationalist) russian magazines and all the blame from russias side goes to the ukraine government

something doesn't fit together here

CVV2 code on the back of the card, plus 3 randomly chosen characters out of a password.

He is a puppet that doesn't want to "lose its face". There is nothing he can do for real. From the very beginning this idiot thought he is controlling the situation there, but he wasn't. Now it gone too far and I can only guess how exactly he will be trying to distance from the situation on the Ukraine. This civilian war was inevitable (even I mentioned that here when Maydan revolution just started). So it was 100% initiated by the Maydan revolution but not by Putin. Putin just wanted to play on it and that was a real bad idea for him...

We have it the UK as well - 'Verified By Visa' and MC have a similar scheme...

The US system is way out of date - I assume it would just be too expensive.....

We have "verified by visa". Im talking about random 3 letters out of the password. Show me one online store that does it.

L-Pink 07-25-2014 11:19 AM

The only time I need to use my pin number is if I'm getting cash from an ATM.

random 3 letters out of the password = "verified by visa" in UK.

You get hit with it the first you use most online stores here...

Some banks use a different system where you have a password and answer a security question - It's not down to the store it's your issuing bank that enforces it - When you verify you get sent back to the site.....

They probably had the entire wallet with identification etc., and whoever they were (the legit owner of the card), they were traveling internationally, so they were probably making purchases in different countries.

beerptrol 07-25-2014 01:01 PM

probably bought Buk Surface-To-Air Missile For Dummies!

brassmonkey 07-25-2014 01:57 PM
