Thinking of getting an older Corvette - which year is best?

I'd like to get one just to have some fun playing around with, I'm thinking either a '71 or a '76 - also I'd like to keep it under $15k so even though I'd like a Stingray droptop...

Which year would you get?

Was 71 after they dropped the steel bumper? I'd definitely get the ray body style but I'd want the steel bumper --

I have a '79

But I would get a 1963 split window coupe if you want an awesome yet rare vette. :thumbsup

I've always been partial to the 76 stingray for some reason.

One day when I get time I would love to restore one.

stevo 03-11-2003 11:27 AM
