Full of ads and lame posts from the huff

Tom_PM 07-15-2014 09:40 AM

I just started using facebook recently to talk to family members. Can I tell you something? It sucks. "time line" shit is all over the place and out of order, and it's supposed to be that way. It's an awesome data mining company.

Have enjoyed Youtube for years and it seems to keep getting better by staying mostly the same.

So... you know.... like... whatever..

Scott McD 07-15-2014 09:58 AM

People must finally be getting fed up with looking at pics of other peoples kids and reading about how wonderful their shitty life is...

Tom_PM 07-15-2014 10:07 AM

Don't forget pictures of every plate of food they ever ate. Wanna see my sausage and eggs? har har not really.

Like. Comment. And stuff. Dude.

Klen 07-15-2014 10:10 AM

Youtube is something what you can visit on daily bases, while facebook is not unless you are attention whore.

So true.

oppoten 07-15-2014 10:21 AM

I never liked Facebook and stopped using it long ago. I actually preferred Myspace!

scuba steve 07-15-2014 10:22 AM

didn't really think of youtube as a social media site

Jel 07-15-2014 10:28 AM

yeah, fb is a currently a huge fail. oh, wait.. :1orglaugh

Jel 07-15-2014 10:30 AM

it'd be interesting actually to know whether those youtube uniques are inclusive of facebook/other website users playing embedded videos.

LA Crew 07-15-2014 11:29 PM

What surprises me is that MySpace gets more traffic than Linkedin or Instagram.

You sure about that? Where are you getting your traffic stats from?

You can see the sources at these photos.

blackmonsters 07-16-2014 07:46 AM

I call bullshit on plus.google because of all the "forced entry" methods
like forcing my one youtube account into two g+ accounts.

Over 150 million unique visitors in a month... and no one uses it?

rowan 07-16-2014 05:22 PM

Those unique visitor stats are some very exact numbers. I doubt that all (or even any?) of the world's top 10 sites would have allowed a third party access to their stats, so I guess it's extrapolated from a smaller sample set captured independently, eg via toolbars, ISP logs, NSA tap points (oops)

Try writing anything unless it helps their SEO the only person that will see it is yourself.
Users have the ability to post but nothing is ever published.

Cherry7 07-17-2014 01:15 AM

I find youtube very annoying, you cannot delete videos and update videos. It is swamped with nonsense and very hard to find stuff.

Like other search engines they don't seem to be addressing the problems of finding material with common names...where is John Smith?

ilnjscb 07-17-2014 05:09 AM

For twitter, are they counting api accesses or just hits to twitter.com

Updating videos would mean they would have to approve it all over again so they don't want to do that.

I watched regular TV for a couple of hours yesterday but I didn't see any LESS non-sense.

:1orglaugh

Emma 07-17-2014 01:35 PM

Don't forget these facts:

- 500 years of YouTube videos are watched on Facebook every day.
- 700 YouTube videos shared on Twitter per minute.
