Do you believe the Presdent runs the nation?
I have always laughed at people that say "Our President isn't very good" or "The last President was worse" or "This President is great"
Do people really believe that the President runs and controls what happens to this nation? The President is the puppet figure we vote for so we 'believe' we are in control. People feel so empowered placing their 'vote' it's really quite amazing at how dumb we all are. It doesn't matter WHO is in office. When you get older and see more elections, you will understand that. Our country's debt will always continue to climb until corporations suck every single last amount of business out of this country before moving it all to China. In 200 years we will be just like Mexico. Extreme rich, and extreme poor. No middle class. Most of the middle class will live in Canada. There isn't a President that will ever change what is happening because whoever is in office is placed their by corporations. It doesn't matter who you vote for, Democrat or Republican, all parties are on the same page. They are all sponsored by corporations thanks to the Supreme Court ruling Super Pacs are now legal and the flow of cash quite literally owns who ever they place in office. Years ago, candidates taking money from corporations was illegal, remember Nixon? Took some bucks from the Dairy farmers and they fucked Nixon over for doing so. NOW, it's perfectly legal for the candidates to take money from corporations. (thanks again Supreme Court) and in fact, you can't be president unless you have multi million dollar support from large corporations. So, please stop thinking what President did the best job. THEY ALL ARE JUST PUPPETS SO WE HAVE SOMEBODY WE THINK IS IN CONTROL. Everybody needs a Captain Kirk sitting in the chair or we'll feel lost. My feeling is this, the best president is one who doesn't have anybody murdered. The only President in my life time so far that hasn't murdered anybody or gone to war was J. Carter. Carter might've been a wimp, or lay low kind of guy, but at least he didn't murder anybody or start a war. I ONLY vote for a president after his first term. I never vote for a new President. My logic is this, IF the new President can go 4 years without murdering people in other countries, then he has my vote for the 2nd term. So far, I haven't voted in over 30 years. I refuse to vote for any human being that kills or murders people. If I did, I would be contributing to the same murdering acts of violence. I feel great not voting for all the Presidents after Carter, because I didn't contribute to killing people. Voting now is the single most useless thing any American can do. Our votes mean nothing. If you don't believe that, ask yourself why 90% of Americans want a total ban on assault rifles and limit the amount of bullets in clips, but all of our Senators, Congress and the President refuse to change the laws. I thought the People ran this county? We don't. Their excuse is, "middle America" wants assault rifles and if they ban them, they'll lose their votes. Please. I guess they don't know what 90% means. I just wish one day a Senator's kid would get shot to pieces at school so he would feel what the American public feels. So never think any President is doing a great job or a poor job. He isn't doing anything. He's just doing what he is told to do by the real people behind the curtain that run this failing nation. |
Be ready for blowback from the bro club knuckle draggers.
I agree with you though. Obviously any klown that americans vote into office is a step and fetch it boy. Big business isn't stupid enough to put the country in control of mobs of illiterates swayed by what bieber says or crackpots on foxnews or msn. |
Middle Class Canada...sheeeeit

The three branches of government run the nation...not a single person.

your rant would make sense if it were accurate, sadly, expectedly, it's not.
90% of americans don't want an assault weapon ban, for starters, and if obama is a puppet then who was pulling the puppet strings on obamacare? big insurance cos? big pharma? the wixard of oz? I could go on. |

Read his back and forth rants about Z and you'll see. |
Probably depends about the nation. I have heard that there are more than one. ;)

According to the Bureau of Statistics about 1.8 million people collaboratively run the US government. President alone can make some pretty big decisions, true, but to enact those decisions takes a lot of others. Without them he's basically just one guy that anyone could just walk up to and slap around.
Unless of course the guy who's elected next happens to be Chuck Norris or Arnold. :D |

I believe the President is only in charge of our country to a certain extent. At the same time, he is in charge of our military and decides on certain courses that can have a massive impact on our country, it's citizens, society, the economy, etc.
I honestly believe that a president running for office tells the public while campaigning what he believes combined with what his staff tells him he needs to say to get elected. However, once he gets into office it's not always easy to make a campaign promise happen. A good example of this is Gitmo - Obama told us he was going to close it, yet is finding out it's not that easy. At the same time we hold the president responsible for things not in his control - such as holding Bush responsible for 9/11 or holding Bush responsible for the collapse of the economy. And that's not fair. We also have a habit of improperly judging based on our emotions at the time. President Truman, who become president just as WWII was ending was had one of the lowest ratings of all time, 22%, which was lower than Nixon's when he resigned. Now looking back we can plainly see that Truman was one of the greatest presidents we've ever had. I believe in the future Bush Jr will be rated poorly (mostly because of his handling of Iraq), and Obama will be rated better because we'll have forgotten the smaller issues we'll remember him for turning the economy around. Like I said above... My primary concern is the economy. I've worked hard all my life and I nearly lost everything. The economy is coming back and the rest is all dribble. |
These guys do ...

The president working with congress runs the nation, the president and the congress needs money to get re elected, so they make promises to big companies that can afford to spend money on them.
If you get a president that can't work with congress, nothing gets done, IE, Bad President. |

Obama sure controlled how much the nation ran it's mouths on message boards.

Dont think president have anything with running nation,it is all about corporations.
|
This idea that who's in the White House doesn't really matter because both parties are one in the same and both are puppets of an oligarchy aka the PTB just demonstrates how shallow the public has become, swallowing anything the mainstream and/or alternative press feeds them.
Do you think had Romney won there'd have been the Affordable Care Act? If Jimmy Carter was president during 9/11 do you think there'd have been the Iraq War? Corporations and bankers do have a lot of influence on both parties, and both parties continue to move towards the center because the electorate forces them to but they absolutely aren't one and the same and corporations don't run the President - if they did the US wouldn't have what is now one of the world's higher corporate tax rates. |

Most people don't know what the difference between a M14 and a Ar15 are. When the configuration of the two are almost identical in operation, the M14 being more powerful and more accurate, at least I think it is. The Ar15 is what is considered an assault weapon because it has a pistol grip. That in it's self, makes no sense! |

2) Depends on the nation. If the nation is a flock of sheep w/o a brain (like ones in my Russia for example), it's easy to rule them. |
