This was going to happen sooner or later.

The biggest international airport in Venezuela is charging a fee for the right to inhale clean air - and social media users are not happy.

We're used to a seemingly endless range of taxes and surcharges when we fly - passenger taxes, departure taxes, fuel levies. But Maiquetia International Airport in Caracas has taken this a step further - passengers flying out now have to pay 127 bolivars tax (£12; $20) for the air they breathe.

I'm sure it will give Obama a new idea for taxing us, right now the government is taking in more in taxes than ever before. Yet he still wants 3.7 billion dollars to spend on illegal aliens and still won't send the National Guard to the border! To be a country, you have to have a border, apparently, we don't have a border!

I'm not the one linking a tax story in Venezuela to Obama when there is none.

Technically, the local 21 pct. VAT rate is not much different, if you want to live you actually have to purchase things, so from whatever you purchase, you pay 21 pct. you eat, you dress - you pay 21 pct. If you drive, you pay 50 pct. + out of the retail gas price etc. etc.

However, and not surprisingly, there's more poor than ever, the corporations have the lowest costs ever, the costs of living go steadily up, real estate prices blown out of proportions etc. - it's the reality of today and the money that go to the dumper (local government) won't ever help it, unless some of it gets spent on actual infrastructure investments, which has short term (work) and long term (improving the living environment) effects.

However, I guess one can always pick for himself to live any place and in any way he sees fit, and universally, one that manages to escape the corporate lobotomy always has a decent chance to live a very full life.

How did I link this to Obama? I clearly stated it was in Venezuela.

You are blind if you think this kind of shit is not done on testing grounds for crap eventually coming here. Obamacare is a prime example. You know, they check you out at airports in other countries too these days before you get on a plane. It's not just here. You are so narrow minded it's painful to watch. For once in your life, try to see beyond the garbage you absorb from television.
