The only thing more ridiculous than seeing Brazil lose 7 - 1

Was watching all the players at the end of the game praying to some fake dude up in the sky.

They're a deeply religious bunch down there. Totally understandable to see some "why God, why?" going on.

But this.... I don't know if ridiculous is the right word. Pathetic may be more apt....

It's as if life is no longer worth living for many of them.

I recall seeing similar looks on faces up here in N America back in 2001.... during 9-11.

TeenCat 07-09-2014 09:02 AM

god have more important things in gaza than watching football ...

PR_Glen 07-09-2014 09:06 AM

jumping on the germany bandwagon now i see? hehe

most of us saw this as a toss up as to who would win it before the game so that really shouldn't change anything now. if they played again it wouldn't get the same result, they just ran with the momentum.

Yes momentum was the only reason the score was 7 fucking 1 lol. No most of us did not see it as a toss up. Brazil did not have a great team and I have not seen one game where they played outstanding in this tournament. They finally met their match and got destroyed.

That is because in North America sports is entertainment, circus etc. And there people actually care and support their teams. They do not come to the games to eat a hamburger... Only respect for the fans who care about their team.

Because in the previous game he was kneed in the back and broke a vertebrae in his back. He is also there best player and the most popular sports figure in the entire country,

I dont care about soccer, but just goes to show you that you should probably do some googling before posting retardation.

This makes no sense until Germany wins. They have to play against Messi and Argentina in the finals. They are in the same position.

Umm, i'm fully aware who he is and how popular he is. Why the fuck would i need to google anything?

The most important people that game were the 11 players who were actually playing.

Speaking of retardation, it's "their", not "there"...

he didn't mean that, the point is why bring the shirt of someone who is injured to the line up like fucking drama queens. It's appalling, these type of theatrics. Like the guy died or something.
Side note - neymar played a shit tournament.

Correct! He was shit. And he didn't die. So it was idiotic.

And i don't need to google anything to know that...

Where do you guys get that idea about shirt = dying?
They needed him in the field, they said that "we will play as if you are with us" or something like that, nice gesture to say that. Dying did not even cross my mind before reading your posts :)

Anyone who believes that hasn't a god-damned clue about how it is with sports in N America. The football culture in the southern US and the hockey culture in Canada is equal in every way to that of 'soccer' in the world. Except we generally don't cry like we might commit suicide when our team loses.

This is another clue as to how pathetic the Brazillians are being....

ROCK NEWS: Its all Mick Jagger fault. Brazilian World cup fans are livid and think he's to blame for the county’s shocking loss to Germany… all because he showed up to the game. he watched Tuesday's game from a VIP box wearing an England cap, not anything Brazilian. Some Brazilian fans have made cardboard cutouts of Mick wearing the opposing team's shirts, and other have nicknamed him ``the jinx.''

Can this be true? :1orglaugh

(actually I have no idea, but I know if you get a lot of drunk Canadians together after a sports game or concert they like to riot.)

So what does it say?
Either that people in Brazil are more emotional in general (which is true by the way) or that they care a bit more about their football than US or Canada about their sports.
Neither of the 2 are pathetic in ANY way.

michael.kickass 07-10-2014 10:49 AM

Brazilians have been, are and will always be god-loving assholes, I can't be any happier for their humiliation in this world cup. :pimp
