Best Hosting Company For Virtual Desktops?

I assume I will need a Dedi for this to be used for virtual desktops and video uploaders. So nothing outrageous, just cheap, fast and reliable.

Just how I like my women. Hehehe....

Spam away.

best just to get the desktop and pay per, then to manage your own. Just get a windows VPS. Its basically the same thing. Unless you have a bunch of users you want to get desktops for it probably wont be worth it. Or just get a windows dedicated box and set it up as a terminal server. But if you do so, and want multiple users. you have to figure the specs to be just as you would want a desktop to be. So if you want 5 users. who each want 4 gig or ram. You need 20+ gig of ram. etc..

We have hundreds of customers running both Microsoft Remote Desktop and Citrix XenApp in our HyperV clusters. No need to get a dedicated, just make sure the host dont overcomit the hardware and you get a solid I/O to the SAN.

Ask them for a Demo account and run a Disk performance Tool.
If you get less then 200MBs read/write, then you need to find another host.

Unless they are doing anything cpu-heavy (encoding/compiling) you will have no problems runng 10-15 people on a 4 core Virtual server, with 8-12Gig of ram

Microsoft Azure is pretty good. They have a free 30 day trial. http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/

I have virtual desktop, the same place I have my servers. Makes it quicker to move stuff about. Drag from content server onto virtual etc.
