The NSA leak about them targeting Linux and Thor users didn't come from Snowden
 

Looks like the most recent NSA leak that showed People simply searching about Thor & Linux were being targeted, was not in the data released by Snowden, which means the NSA has another leak they have yet to discover..

Yea it's pretty fucked and it's almost 100% certain that they have no real way to catch anyone before they do anything. All this data they are collecting is going to be used to target people by linking them to things they did online years ago if they ever become some target in the future. They will figure out a sleaze bag way to use this data down the road.

dont forget about population control, socio control, "projecting the future" from current socio trends, economic spying, humiliating and blackmailing political enemies, etc. etc.

but I dont blame them that much on it - you got to be special personality type to work for agency like NSA ;-) anyway, I dont think that changing policy will change anything here....the only things that may help are raising users' awareness, using crypto etc. etc. - which means, in NSA's eyes and other similiar agencies' in othe countries - who wants total control - that you are suspicious and terrorist :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:winkwink:
