Godaddy is DONE - dead for me as domain registrar or anything else...
|
Never used them...

Coupons are still out there just not as easy to find. Their discount club is the best deal if ya have enough domains to justify it. :2 cents:

FTFM... :thumbsup |
Namecheap charges more for renews. Any just sign up ffor the Godaddy domain club
|
The price is way too high.

Well, I've already moved half of my names.... many $$$ saved already.
Since there are no more decent renewal codes. Renewing .com domain with privacy on godaddy is something like $25 while somewhere else you get it for $8. Why pay triple? It's a rip off. They threat now the same way a person that has 200 domains and a person that has only 1 domain with them. They will lose big time on this unless they will start to treat people accordingly to the number of domains a one owns. |

but small guy is also calculating, and he will move all his few domains to save money, lets assume this million small guys will move their domains. godaddy will stay only with couple of big bros? that's good solution for you? well, not like i care much about godaddy i'm gonna move definitely, if you didn't guessed yet i'm one of those who own jus few domains so i'm calculating and i'm feeling treated like a piece of shit by godaddy. Ryu, i did this thread cuz i was pissed on godaddy and i wanted to share my feelings with others adult trolls here if i wan't to contact godaddy i would do this but i see no points, it won't change anything. |

I register new .com's at GD with a coupon for 99 cents to $3.17.
I then transfer the domains to namesilo when it's time to renew for $8.99. Comes with 1 year renewal and free lifetime whois privacy. |

this namesile vs namecheap which one is more reliable cuz it sounds amazing for me. |

I've had no issues with namesilo. Free lifetime whois privacy http://www.namesilo.com/Support/WHOIS-Privacy |

If you do need privacy and have many domains then you need namecheap or namesilo as the discount club with godaddy won't save you anything privacy-wise. |
thanks for info guys i was decided to move to namecheap cuz of their low privacy costs, but no privacy costs beats it up.
any more opinions about namesilo? anyone got smth bad to share maybe? ed.: how about renewing .org domains what is better namecheap or namesilo? |
namesilo is great
|
godaddy marketing - advertising - is not for one 0.25 cola - so you pay always with the nice godaddy-girls ...
|
It still beats the $200 that Network Solutions use to charge. But your right GoDaddy does not care, by hook or crook they are going to get you.
It is a shame when any business thinks they need to treat their customers with disrespect. |

PO Box Pre Paid Cell Phone or Google Voice # Whois@(YourDomainName) Been running this way for 11 years as I've been selling domains over that time and the reason I generally have hundreds of domains in stock, prefer this as whois contacts come direct then as don't wanna lose a lead over some whois privacy forwarding that doesn't get through. :2 cents: |
Quote:
So for domain name you just put "Domain Administrator" ? And do you actually rent a P.O Box or make one up? Godaddy have been sending me the emails asking for updated contact info every year saying if it's not accurate ICANN can take it away etc ... |

Godaddy has been trying to make it's balance sheet look pretty for an IPO. They haven't turned a profit this decade and now they are cutting off their nose to spite their face.
