I love it when people declare they support people who really aren't hurting anyone - just like this here - but I have to say something here and I may or may not get slapped for it - I don't know, but it isn't coming from a bad place at all - rather from a place of why we feel the need to do things like this period!

I hate that we as a human nation have to feel the need to shove our sexuality down people's throats, to prove we have a right to love who we want and be with who we want - on the same dime - that we support those that love and are with who they want to be with - I get all of that - I have extremely close friends that are gay, even a son in law that is gay - so I am ALL about supporting them and making them aware that not everyone hates them

I don't want to or need to hear that your sex life includes this or that, I don't want to see it everywhere I go from a guy/girl couple and I don't want to hear and see it and have it shoved down my throat as a guy/guy, girl/girl or any other couple - what they do with their sex lives isn't a bit more my business than what I had for dinner last night is theirs. I don't want to see them making out on a park bench in front of a bunch of kids, a bit more than I wanna see it from a straight couple or anyone else for that matter - sex isn't for park benches just to prove their sexual preferences - ALL OF YOU GET A ROOM ALREADY.. lol

I believe we are hard-wired from birth as to what "turns us on" sexually.

For some guys it's women
For some guys it's men
For some guys it's dogs
For some guys it's scat
For some guys it's little boys.

Oh sure, you can suppress those thoughts, and some guys are able to do it more than others. That's why you can't "change" homosexual behavior. Or pedophilia. Or heterosexual behavior. Some can suppress it - but it's always there.

I pity pedophiles. They were born with a behavior they cannot change and only hope to suppress as long as they live - or suffer the consequences. So what do you do with them? Full frontal lobotomies? Lifetime incarceration? Death sentence? Behavior therapy?

No one has figured it out, partially because we don't speak about non-vanilla sex very loudly. Homosexuality has changed the thinking in the right direction. And that's to live and let live. Whatever two consenting ADULTS want to do should be no one else's business.

The only difference (I agree that it is core difference) is that in homosexuality the other party is also consenting adult.
But saying that is nothing wrong is like saying - there is nothing wrong with having 6 fingers. Yes, you should not be discriminated for that, but there certainly happened something wrong.

I sincerely believe that if half the effort that's been put over and over and over into popularizing anything gay was actually put into tackling any sorts of real issues, the world would be a better place.

What homosexuals, pedos and horsefuckers all have in common is they are all outside of societal mores, although homosexuality has certainly gotten more accepted by the mainstream.

I would submit that in a more enlightened society ANYTHING between two consenting adults should not even questioned, much less legislated against.

As someone with many gay friends, I am ashamed for our society that household name corporations need to launch pro gay awareness campaigns. Yes they did it to stand out in the noise that is the marketing and advertising space for fast food, but it shouldn't even be necessary or available for them to exploit and promote. There's too much "Me" in the world these days. We all need to check ourselves and look in the mirror and ask "What makes me better than you?" The ones worth having on the earth wouldn't need to search for an answer.

The gays are doing it all wrong. They say what they do behind closed doors is none of our business, but "come out" by telling the world that they're gay. Dude, I don't give a rat's ass if you're gay. This is a very polarizing topic, and me, as I just said, I have no problem with gay people. Have gay friends, gay associates, and even gay family members. Like them all. Great people that would bend over backwards to help me (bad choice of words?). But this is turning more into a media circus than actual progress. It's no longer a fight to be accepted and treated equal, it's a show to be the loudest.

Chick-Fil-A took it on the chin for refusing service to gay people (well, it was actually one gay couple but the media latched onto it, which caused an uprise, which increased viewership, which increased ad revenues...blah, blah, blah, you know the game). People could have simply said, "Oh, that place is intolerant and I refuse to dine there." - done deal. Now what if Chick-Fil-A came out with a "Cure the Homo Chicken Sandwich"? We're talking all out bedlam!
