Cop stole my wallet.
 

i was arrested last night for being drunk and my wallet came up missing. i called today and asked about it and the cop said "i dont even remember him havin a wallet" is there any way i can sue them or will this help me out if i go to court or am i fucked?

You can sue all you like (if it can be done: frequently the government has to agree to be sued), but what PROOF can you offer that the cop stole your wallet?

I'd say it's worth reporting it. If he's stolen yours, he's probably stolen others. Even without any proof, if there are enough reports on his file, they'll know something is up and they might do something about it.

cops stole my money in mex... but he had a machinegun so I didn´t argue with him.

It's a long way from "I can't think of anything else that could have happened" to "I am sure he stole it". You would look MIGHTY stupid accusing a cop, if it turned up elsewhere.

You're screwed. In order to nail the cop, you have to prove the wallet was on you before the stop and off you immediately after. Unless you were filming a bangbus segment when you were pulled over and got the stop on tape, you are screwed.

You could try reporting the card stolen and tracing any purchases that were made, but we all know how rampant credit card fraud really is.

Go to the police station and file a report. Give the details of the officer last seen with your wallet. By law they have to investigate.
