BareBacked 06-30-2014 03:04 PM

Today is the first day my ads stopped running. No idea why you are saying its old news?

Why would anyone say this is good news?

PornDude 06-30-2014 03:08 PM

Old news. You got email from Adwords like 2-3months ago they will ban explicit words.

dgraves 06-30-2014 03:54 PM

I got my emails today. I just had the most confusing conversation with one of their reps. She said to review the policy and make my sites compliant. So basically remove any sexually explicit content from a sexually explicit site....genius. She couldn't just make it quick and tell me that Google doesn't allow porn ads anymore.

Here's the policy:

Google doesn't allow genital, anal, and oral sexual activity; hardcore pornography; graphic sexual acts with intent to arouse including sex acts such as masturbation.

My question is it ok to make a R rated tour and host it on same domain?

seeric 06-30-2014 04:26 PM

Ironically, it looks as if they haven't gotten to the live cam space yet.

Live cams
flrit4free

etc

Still showing ads.

They don't appear to be showing any favoritism. Our ads were disco'd as well.

You mean that would be better if they kick out cams too?

over38 06-30-2014 05:24 PM

What's amazing to me is they won't allow paid ads with sex, dicks etc but gladly send millions of free hits to the tube sites for free?

It's coming.

And no, I could care less who they ban. Diversify your traffic and no one will feel any one avenue drying up.

You'll sleep better by finding alternatives. My guess, considering google tactics is people getting letters will be unhappy with what google does with their domains the ads were intended to promote.

Not sure what you are talking about ? Parking maybe? Letters? I am talking about buying ads on google.com. Nothing to do with network partners etc

Good question. Has anyone tried creating a non-adult domain landing page with a redirect?

BareBacked 07-01-2014 11:03 AM

me
10:56 AM
what is "primary content"
GOOGLE
10:57 AM
that means that if your site/ads "promote graphic depictions of sexual acts" that is not allowed
me
10:58 AM
what if I remove that from the landing page?
GOOGLE
10:58 AM
that will not matter - you cannot have that content on your site
me
10:58 AM
like this for example domain.com/clean
that is not allowed?
GOOGLE
10:58 AM
that is not allowed
me
10:59 AM
what if make a site called domainclean.com/
and it looks like that page is that allowed?

the indigo 07-01-2014 11:29 AM

They screwed me for one single word ("teen") on 2010 and my whole 15-20k per month in profit went down in the toilet, after investing over 1M with them over the years.

Banned for life. Tried new accounts but I had no "ranking" so I was so easily outbidded it was not worth it. Now they completely banned it... so guess anything is always a question of timing.

Die or Adapt.

Same with us in 2010 (same revenue too), banned for life. Only because we had TEXT about an ingredient that stated the Maya's used it for illnesses. "They" (read: their bots) thought it was not good for their surfers.

8 years of building a business down the drain. For nothing.

Got the same ban for teen concepts. I was away on vacation and didn't "expedite" their request as they had requested so they banned me for life.

I did all sorts of things to get a new account and they banned them by figuring out who I was. I even went as far as to use a girlfriends computer to create an account as a friend of mine who lived 10 miles in another city. Used his name on the domains and all new affiliate accounts in his name. Google banned it and informed him that they were pretty sure he was fronting for me. Sophisticated assholes.

Naughty 07-01-2014 01:30 PM

I'm sure, beingthe monopolist that they are, lots of people would have a great chance of winning a class action suit for loss of income. If you're not in porn that is, that has too big of a shady imago.

just a punk 07-01-2014 01:33 PM

That's a very good news actually :2 cents:

Perhaps by accepting and running a paid ad it could be considered that Google is condoning its content.

By contrast, their search engine really only cares about filtering out spam and copyright violations.

One of my adult dating sites got hit. Then again that one just blasts pussies all over the screen upon entering, so that was hardly unexpected.

Luckily I've only been using AdWords only every so often, but still.

You guys are crazy saying that its good since now you will get more traffic. 90% of all adult term are owned by tube sites giving away free porn.

its just going to take more joins away from paysites

michael.kickass 07-02-2014 01:27 PM

Fuck google.

Robbie 07-02-2014 01:29 PM

People buying AdWords from Google and calling it "marketing" has always seemed kinda disingenuous to me anyway.

If you want to get search engine traffic...then build your site and learn to write descriptive and relevant text for it that targets what your site is about.

I wouldn't pay Google 2 cents.

That would cost them enormous, concurrent search engines hardly wait to grab this piece of market.
