I am back home

...I got in this afternoon. I have an appointment with a doctor early next week and I will stay in for the 4th.

This time out I had to put down a lion. He was old and as skinny as he was...he was probably sick. He blew an ambush on my Jack Russel which gave me time to shoot him wiith my .357 Mag.

sonofsam 06-29-2014 12:28 AM

Have the moderators of GFY ever considered referring this guy to some mental health authority? I'm being serious here..

This guy legitimately needs help.. He's not even trying to troll, it's been the same threads for years and years.. Something is wrong with him..

CurrentlySober 06-29-2014 12:47 AM

i cant a4d a home... :(

I suppose all that info saves me asking...

CDSmith 06-29-2014 04:07 AM

I've always said I'm never happy unless I've cheated death twice before breakfast, but... damn. I've never shot a mountain lion. That's like John Wayne stuff right there.

Did you haul the carcas in for stuffing?

No...I would not have any animal stuffed. At one point in time in my life...I was a hunter but I quit hunting years ago and now I will only kill an animal when I feel that I must. In addition the lion was old and pretty scruffy looking. I left the carcas for nature to dispose of.

How is your back doing?

Any friends from military will be visiting you?

Just Alex 06-29-2014 07:27 AM

They let this guy out again?

Vendzilla 06-29-2014 07:29 AM

Since moving back to the city, I miss walking in the woods. I've seen every form of animal in California. Mountain Lions included. He must have been hungry. Dog ok?

The dog is fine. The lion was so old and sickly when he made his jump from his ambush site he stumbled and kind of fell down this incline missing my dog by several feet. Before he could recover enough to continue his attack I fired and hit him in his back knocking him down and my second shot killed him.

You did live in some nice country and I am not sure why you went back to L.A. That is a trade that I would not make.

How is your daughter progressing in school?

Relentless 06-29-2014 08:08 AM

Why didn't you kill it with your bare hands... Like a real man? ;)

Well...I did consider doing it like that but it was a little warm that morning and I didn't feel like breaking into a sweat.

candyflip 06-29-2014 09:20 AM

Do you really think anyone here gives a fuck? Seriously...why do you post here?

American Psycho 06-29-2014 09:25 AM

American Psycho 06-29-2014 09:26 AM

Surely theres a hunting forum your updates would fit better on.

Do you enjoy the ridicule yoy get here?

420 06-29-2014 09:30 AM

I wouldn't kill a cougar. I like fuckin em.

SilentKnight 06-29-2014 09:37 AM

Where's the pics?

sonofsam 06-29-2014 11:16 AM

He's talking to CDSmith and Vendzilla like he's met them. Vendzilla: Have you met him in real life before?

I won't even ask CDSMith if he's met him. He's just like theking, except Canadian. Both don't do any business whatsoever :1orglaugh:

VikingMan 06-29-2014 12:25 PM

I think the OP just embellishes his stories. Perhaps "the lion" was actually just a house cat that was exploring the outdoors? Yes a .357 would do plenty of damage to a house cat. On a lion it would only piss it off more and even if it was a direct shot to the heart the animal would still have enough energy to kill you as does happen with bear attacks.

PornDude 06-29-2014 12:47 PM

Who are you again?

When I retire or just slow down a bit, I'm moving back to Shasta County, or maybe even further north.

My daughter just graduated from WWU and is now a Anthropologist. She's going to look for a job in her field that will pay for her to continue her education to get a PHD. We got to go to her graduation recently and went to the presidents breakfast because of her being a veteran. We had 3 deans sitting at our table! Couldn't be prouder!!

Who gives a fuck what you post, it seems all you post is asking why others post, sounds kinda idiotic if you ask me!

.357 magnum will take down a lion, it would make a house cat explode.

It's as fine as can be expected I suppose. I haven't been up to much activity of late, but then again the weather here has been miserable and rainy for much of the last two weeks.

And I have a good supply of those Naproxin 750 mg 24 hr slow-releaser's to deal with the pain when it getst to be too much. :D

But I'm sure pining for a couple of bloody mary's lately.

Me, I'm sitting here typing, you're out shooting mountain lions. Something's wrong with this picture. :D

I have morphine patches available when the pain becomes more than I can bear...but I seldom use them. I have been schooled in bearing the pain by the VA and I don't want to become an addict.

Morphine does strange things to my nervous system, so they gave me the next best thing for chronic pain and inflamation.

I'm exactly that way also though, I take them only sparingly. Very sparingly.
