I certainly agree. The whole place is a joke. On one hand you have some of the most expensive and outlandish buildings in the world, but then you see a train of sewage trucks miles long leaving the city and realize despite all their wealth and marvelous feats of engineering they were too stupid to implement proper sewage systems.

Well that just proves your ignorance right there....... Dubai is a muslim place but muslims themselves are a minority in Dubai. Walking around, you would see more Caucasian "white" Americans, Europeans and Russians than you would muslims.

Anyhow, its really no big...... I don't think Americans are really hated per se, it's just people don't like the American government in terms of foreign policy.

You've lived there? Dubai has unbelievable infrastructure and is the luxury capital of the world...... Its not cheap to live there but gasoline is cheaper than bottled water. It's incredibly clean and very lively.
