Attention: Plugrush changed AdManagement. Mobile Redirects again "on" by default!

Watch out guys, if you are using Plugrush.
They recently changed their admanagement. If you turned mobile redirects to "off" for your sites, it's turned "on" again
Better check that in your plugrush account.

Plugrush 06-18-2014 11:45 AM

We are aware this is on by default and it's going to be changed within 2-3 hours, please allow us a bit of time to fix this issue.

I've been changing my code, but from what I can tell as long as you don't have the javascript in the <head>, it won't affect your pages.

My question is this. If we change nothing and leave the old widget code will hits still be counted? If not, could be problematic to have to change already submitted TGP galleries as most ban for code changes.

old code will still work.
new code is optimized, and more compliant with search engines.

Just out of curiosity I would like to know if Plugrush have changed settings or anything in the current week ?

Until Monday CPM was good, since Tuesday CPM has been only going constantly down (now my cpm is 75% less than what it was on Monday, I have had drops up to 30% but never a drop of 75% so far) for the same traffic which I have been recv. since almost an year.

If the current CPM continues, I might have to consider moving away from PR by next week.

btw! I haven't turned off mobile redirects on the site, so I'm not sure if it helps.

Is this why I'm getting mobile redirects even though I have them turned off?

seeandsee 07-01-2014 01:57 AM

Is this now always on or what?

You have to log in and change your preference for each site and edit the codes on your site. Otherwise your site will automatically redirect for all mobiles.

I am having issues with the new codes on a few of my sites.

I'm not a whiz at seeing what exactly to edit. Can anyone tell me what to edit to stop the redirecting? Thanks in advance.

Is there anything I can change in the integration code to stop mobile redirects? Apparently setting mobile redirects to No doesn't work...

Can you create a support ticket and we will investigate what exactly is going on for you and help you solve this. Thanks.

Is the mobile redirect with the new code fixed now?

I did and you answered it perfectly, thanks. The mobile redirects are taken care of. It's a bummer Google is penalizing mobile redirects. Although, when I think about it, when I get redirected on my phone, I never return to that site.

Actually, there is big chance how it doesn't - when they were describing this problem, they said how problem was how one thing were showed to bot and other to visitors, meaning when google bot visited site with plugrush plug he wasn't redirected as there is no point to send bot to clients sites. So if you fully redirect mobile traffic you should be fine.So far i haven't heard for someone being penalized on other traffic broker or by using plugrush php mobile redirect. It's all about reading between lines.
