I often wonder how many Americans make a point of watching the USA football team at the World Cup.

I'd let to hear from anyone on here who is planning to watch in a couple of hrs...

USA is full of "americans" that love football so don't think there is no lots of fans combined accross country...

For sure, immigrants are huge portion of spectators. However there are millions of real Americans who love football as well.

It's interesting that you criticize Americans for not being big on football, while you obviously are not big on American football. In both cases it's an instance of the party not being real familiar with the sport.

What I am criticizing - some of the fools who feel the need to pop in into football threads and declare one of the following:
soccer is boring
soccer players are pussies
handegg players are so strong and tough

etc etc.

Its like their duty to declare that they do not like soccer and also compare it to American rugby :)

Most of the games so far had 3-5 goals per game.

Regular club soccer bores me. But the World Cup I find very interesting and enjoyable to watch because of the national pride involved. I love watching all the games, and especially look forward to today's game. There's a sports bar down the block from me and I can already hear them going wild right now during the US Anthem.
