what's the deal with bulletproof hosting?

From what understand bulletproof hosting allows you to host your landing pages offshore, with providers whose pipes allow spamming.

Just out of curiosity... I hear that it's pretty much impossible to achieve solid uptime on a bp host. But why is that exactly? From what I heard some bp accounts are hosted on cogent lines, and there's plenty of 'regular' cogent hosts that have good stability.

piss away...

All I know is I keep getting spammed by these mother fuckers offering BULLETPROOF servers. Cock suckers.

Nothing is bullet-proof forever. Although it is often difficult to shut down a spamvertised site , it is getting easier to block spam from know spamming scumbags by using block lists. Many ISPs subscribe to these block lists, like Spamhaus and SPEWS for example. Also, new anti-spam laws in Washington and California are making it more difficult for our beloved Spamming Vermin.

My personal solution is a product call SpamPal which is a freebie and the most effective I've seen. It integrates in nicely with Outlook express. It filters spam by two different methods the way I have it configured; first it checks the email against a whole bunch of block lists like the ones I've mentioned above, you can select which ones. And you can block by country. I have China, Korea and Japan blocked for example. Secondly, it uses a Regex filter to search for typical Spammer bullshit expresions like "This is not Spam" or "You have opted in at affiliate....blah blah......

It catches everything and occasionally catches a legit email but it sticks it all in a separate folder. Nothing is perfect , but I'd rate this at about 98%.....

PS. Always remember Rule #1 in regards to SPAM.
ALL SPAMMERS LIE

bulletproof hosting doesnt mean they host only spam pages. usually such a hosts offer hosting services with NO strict rules for hosting content and 90% they are located offshore.
