You can't say "I want to promote mainstream." That's no different than saying "I want to start a business."

A business doing what? What do you want to sell? What do you want to do? What do you want to accomplish?

If you can't answer any of those, you are fucked.

Think more on what you can really get behind. What is something that you can fully support? Something that you believe in. Go from there.

You need to join an affiliate network, start with someone like cj.com and promote several different items. Their lingo is completely different and they track differently( Fucking Pixels ) but you can catch on pretty quick

Now, are you saying that you have your own product that you want to sell? Or are you saying that you have a product already for sale and you are looking for additional income using those as a backbone for the traffic?

It's not hard, just type out what you are doing and what you want. It will be much easier for anyone to help you.

It's easy to say "go to CJ.com", but that might not have anything for your specific needs. Say what you want.

Ok, he's a Merchant, or an Advertiser. If you only have a few things, you can go with some of the big networks to use their affiliates or publishers to promote your goods or start your own, like I'm working on. You can do so still with CJ.com or a host of others. Just Google Top Affiliate Networks.

Once I get my affiliate program launched, I will be taking on other products and services. I have 4 right now that my client owns

Google Adwords is a good mainstream sponsor. If you can find a way to get lots of clicks for mainstream terms, and have the ads on the pages, could be lots of money. Try some black hat forums for ways to get traffic.
