Everything You Ever Wanted to Know But Were Afraid to Ask

I woke up this morning actually excited to get back to work. If anyone has been wondering what I've in Vegas for so many weeks, we've working on one of the most ambitious web projects this side of Facebook.

We are reaching the point of being able to go public with it in the next few weeks. It is non-adult, but not completely removed from the arena. When you see the finished product, I can guarantee nobody has seen anything even close to it.

It will either be the biggest success or the biggest failure of all time... Regardless, I'd rather be the first person to a bad idea, than the thousandth to copy a good one.

Oh yes, feel free to get your Adult Millionaire jabs in here, even though I won't be replying to them...everyone is entitled to at least one massive mistake in their life.

:2 cents::thumbsup:winkwink:

Ross, I will have to say that Traffic Force is about the most honest traffic broker out there, but our business model is removing the middleman and going back old-school. I think people will find it both refreshing and rewarding. Trusted webmasters will get same day pay.:thumbsup

I respect that but keep in mind that if you're looking for traffic on porn.com and the other sites we own, we're not the middleman, we're the platform to buy our traffic in a more fair and targeted way. I don't want people thinking we just broker traffic, we actually have our own :thumbsup

Looking forward to see what you've cooked up ... and no, that's not a drug reference. :thumbsup

you're still building gfmate.com?

Yes, I shouldn't even have that link public (it should be in dev), other than the fact that people won't stop joining it! :)

The site still has a quite bit of work to do, but the affiliate program will be like something nobody in adult or mainstream has seen before, not even close and with complete transparency.

:thumbsup

Money can be made buying your traffic, I won't refute that.

I was really referring to the shady traffic brokers, which there are many.

:thumbsup

Lack of imagination

I like the concept, will try it out :thumbsup

How was modifying Dolphin? I tried to build a dating tube/community on dolphin and found it a pain to work with, but that was probably 5 years ago.

It sucks balls. We have a lot of custom stuff on there now, the plan is to keep building, make everything custom, abandon the platform entirely, and just keep the databases.

One step at a time tho.

You work for this company? Sampson Investments AVV?

Developing your minimum viable product can be done in frameworks or "canned" products in order to get a prototype to market quickly. This is a very sound strategy, and has been leveraged by industry titans. You want to fail quickly so you can move on to the next thing, or you want to develop a market from your successful prototyping to early adopters.

I hope this one ends up being the latter, Jay. :thumbsup

Bingo. Get your product to market and validate the business model before you spend thousands if not millions of dollars + copious amounts of time building a custom solution.

Yes, of course I would not reveal my whole marketing strategy on a public board. The site is what it is, a work in progress. We have also already developed and got approved apps for both iPhone and Android, but that is not even our secret weapon. What we had set up would take years for even a potential competitor to replicate and none of that has been unveiled yet.

Look for an announcement and a demo within the next few weeks. :thumbsup

Is it alway necessary? Sometimes it looks like companies develop custom solutions just for the sake of it while existing systems work perfectly.

Why reinvent the wheel if you don't need to? Would you rewrite NATS just to have affiliate software?

Depends on your needs really. A lot of out of box solutions don't meet the needs of the company, and they've weighed their options, shoehorn their needs into the out of box solution and rely on the maker of that product to keep it up to date, or build your own solution and maintain it yourself.

KickAssJesse 06-11-2014 02:36 PM

SilentKnight 06-11-2014 03:23 PM

Had a quick look at gfMate.

I realize it's in dev mode still - but one thing I might point out is the text would benefit from a bit of proofing, spell check and phonetic re-working.

i.e. - "Meet everday 18-20 year old girls waiting to meet you."

Typo in everday - should be everyday. And even then - the use of "everyday" sounds somewhat...awkward.

Eliminate one of the "meet" in the sentence. Maybe think of using "hook up with..."

"Hook up with the 18-20 year old girl-next-door waiting to meet you."

That's just one example that caught my eye right away - there are more typos on the mainpage.

Not tryin' to be an ass - just a friendly heads-up. :)

This was turning into a nice development thread until trolls came in. If you have something that works close enough to what you want and you have the source code...it saves a lot of money and time customizing it.

Hehehehe, that made me chuckle - The owners of NATS were customers of MPA3 and rewrote it to become NATS. So yes, no need to reinvent the wheel - just copy it. :upsidedow

No surprise there my friend. Plus, Fabian took all of their databases and brought them to Manwin. They didn't have to reinvent either. :)
