"Scientists secretly vaccinated more than 2,000 children in religious-run homes in suspected illegal drug trials, it emerged today.

Old medical records show that 2,051 children and babies in Irish care homes were given a one-shot diphtheria vaccine for international drugs giant Burroughs Wellcome between 1930 and 1936.

There is no evidence that consent was ever sought, nor any records of how many may have died or suffered debilitating side-effects as a result.

The scandal was revealed as Irish premier, Enda Kenny, ordered ministers to see whether there are more mass baby graves after the discovery that 800 infants may be buried in a septic tank outside a former mother and baby home in Tuam, Co. Galway."

that is truly sad and horrifying :( i recently watched a movie based on the true story of Irish religious homes taking in pregnant girls and selling their babies without their consent. they had the girls work day and night in exchange for the room and board for them and their infants. they were able to see their babies only once/week. they sold the babies off to American couples. there are foundations now that help these Irish women find their children that are grown now here in the states. here i thought Ireland was scandalous after i saw the movie.....now this

it makes me sad if this is true. Those are angels, they never saw the beauty of the world.

That's the clue for you.

There is no evidence this happened, nor that it caused the deaths.

Remember, the Daily Mail is like Fox news. In short, it's normally utter horse shit.

Regardless of how these 800 infants died (at the hand of some nefarious vaccination testing plot, or if they were killed by their mothers or the nuns so they would have less mouths to feed, or if they all somehow happened to die in child birth) why would they be hidden instead of buried with love? That makes the whole thing seem a little fishy...

Really, shut the fuck up.

Look, the Beeb reported it too ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-27775763 ), or are even they too right wing for your sensitive blinkered soul?
